Here's something pretty old school, tape trading. Anyone here trade with anybody who has live PPV airings etc., that is reputable?
I think something like this is fair game right? No one here wants anything commercial, just tv airings that you can not otherwise obtain.

Nobody does tape trading anymore, do they??
I thought everyone got their stuff now from streaming sites like WWE Network, or other websites that rhyme with "borrents".

I still have a lot of PPVs that I recorded in the 90s. I bought a bunch of NWA stuff from the 80s as well with the intent to transfer over to DVD....they just collect dust now

I can't even begin to tell you guys how much old school wrestling footage I got all on dvd. I got boxes upon boxes of stuff all stored away. From time to time I dig some shows out and watch em.
But from WWF,WCW/NWA,ECW,Mid/South, WCCW, Florida,Georgia, Memphis etc. you name it I mostly likely have it.

I pretty much put all my surviving tapes onto discs once I got a DVD recorder. Many of them were ruined when our storage unit got a leaking roof.

I'm not really the seller kind of guy but who knows maybe down the line I might venture into it.

A long time ago, George Mayfield (Mayfield Mayhem) used to get Japanese tapes when they were nearly impossible to find. Not sure if he would do trades, but I met him a few times at different wrestling conventions where he would sell them & Japanese wrestling items as well. Very cool guy. I think I still have his business card.
Last I heard, he found religion & stopped doing mail order & conventions.

I still have boxes of old VHS PPV's in the attic. My oldest recorded event is Over The Edge 1999.

The only real problem with VHS cassettes now, is that where they are so old and out-dated there are tracking problems on tapes, and the quality is so poor, unless of course your lucky to obtain a good quality tape.
