LIVE from the Lockhart Stadium, Fort Lauderdale, Florida! The Main Event! No Ropes Flaming Barbed Wire Match--------------------------------------------------- Ante Whitner vs. Phillip SchneiderSome months ago the long retired Phillip Schneider reared his head again, however it seemed as though for perhaps the first time in his life he was championing another wrestler instead of trying to shorten their career. Of course we all had our reservations because, regardless of what words are coming out of Schneider’s mouth, it always feels as though we’re 2 minutes away from an eye gouging or syringe stabbing. Phillip Schneider continued to talk up the victories and main event potential of Ante Whitner throughout the Supreme Gauntlet 17! however things started to go off piste a little when Ante suffered his first loss at the hands of now WFWF World Heavyweight Champion David Brennan. When Lynn was able to defeat Ante at Ultimate Supremacy, leading to a career threatening injury that shelved Whitner for months, it seemed a switch flicked and suddenly Schneider couldn’t find enough sh*t to talk about his former number one pick. Whitner returned in kind though (albeit a little antisemitically) and before long it became clear that these two were destined to clash on Ante’s return. Now, with a sacrifice in the form of a fast food mascot, Schneider has made his intentions clearer than ever, but it is the Golden Opportunist that took to the ring at Pacific Rim and laid out the gruesome challenge. No ropes, flaming barbed wire match. Phillip Schendier’s wheel house. This is the ultimate challenge for Ante and he knows it. If Ante wins here then he eclipses his demon. If he loses? Well, he’s not likely making it home. There is going to be a murder. Challenging the Champion--------------------------------------------------- David Brennan vs. Danny YoungThere was a time when people said that David Brennan was one of the best to never win the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship. But as the WFWF returns to the United States after a lengthy tour of Canada that's no longer the case, because David Brennan is returning as the NEW WFWF World Heavyweight Champion! It's been a long road for Brennan to this point, but if he thinks it's about to get any less bumpy now then Brennan is about to learn that the only thing harder than winning the WFWF World Championship is keeping hold of it. Tonight the first man to get his hands on the new champion is a relative newcomer who put on a star making performance at Pacific Rim. Danny Young not only beat Sean Casey, but he did it by referee stoppage in one hell of a match. Many will see this as a big step up for Danny Young and that may be true, but if there's one thing you can never count out it's the fact that here in the WFWF anybody can beat anybody else on any given night, and Young will be hoping that will ring true in this one. And of course there's still Michael Kyzer waiting in the wings... Defending your Spot--------------------------------------------------- Frank Lynn vs. Lucas CroweThe revolution continues. At Pacific Rim Frank Lynn stepped inside the squared circle with Anna Ahriman and came out victorious, proving yet again that he is the real deal. Over the past few months Lynn has faced and beaten all comers, from relative rookies like Anna Ahriman to established veterans like Trace Demon, all the while attempting to legitimise the WFWF. He has faced hurdles at every turn but refuses to back down on what he sees to be the right thing to do not just for the WFWF but for professional wrestling. Frank Lynn probably thought that things could only get better... but then this match was announced. Yes, Lucas Crowe is back, and this time he seems to be flying solo. Crowe, a man who has at one point or another called both Justin Tyme and Trace Demon as mentors is returning to the WFWF after a lengthy absence and looks set to pick up right where he left of. A former WFWF International and National Champion the Motor City Nightmare was once seen as the hottest newcomer in recent WFWF history. Does he still have that spark, or will Frank Lynn's revolution march on? Roleplay Deadline: Wednesday September 6th, 2017 at 11:59 PM EST Promo/Match Writing Deadline: Friday September 8th, 2017 at 11:59 PM EST

Stacked card. Any segs people want to send in for the show, especially those not booked, need to be done by the promo deadline. I imagine Schneider's had the main event written for about 3 years so no worries on match writing duties, we've got it covered.

Ever since seeing Funk vs Sabu in a barbwire match and the Rottens ripping each other to pieces with shards of broken glass glued to their hands, I'm not a fan of crazy over the top violent matches. When Sabu's bicep was ripped open and he used duct tape to stop the bleeding, I was done. I want my violence clearly fake, staged, and well-rehearsed. All things considered though, this match wasn't as bad as the exploding ring matches. When the ref has to wear one of those fireproof padded suits bomb squads use and the fans have to be escorted from the building... let's just say that is going way too far.

I have such a backwards view of the whole hardcore/ultraviolence thing. That Funk/Sabu match was detailed in an issue of PWI that I'd picked up in the 7th grade, which in turn made me into the total ECW mark I was right right up until the end. That and the Rottens and some of New Jack's crap was what it was, and I don't have the stomach for half of it now that I did then, but it's all tame stacked up next to some of the sh*t that passes for wrestling today. Love ECW, hate some of what they fostered in America.

Two days 'til the deadline and nobody's asked for an extension yet. Dare I say it? Could we have six RPs posted on Wednesday? I hope so. Some good match ups on the card. Can't wait to see Ante and Schneider's stuff because they've been building to this insane match for quite some time. No pressure but I'm expecting greatness

If I didn't get on my computer this week, I'd have been screwed, but now I've got barely a visit to the head and/or a lunch break's worth left to hammer out, and a pretty decent idea of where I want to go with it.
I'll be fine. No extension.

I've been running myself ragged this whole weekend, went to watch my brother make his wrestling debut which was super rad. Made me want to start training again. But the whole waking myself up early for work thing has been the worst. But I've been slowly chipping away at it and I'll definitely have it up by Wednesday since I switch from days to nights starting tomorrow.

I dated a girl while she trained to wrestle. I did my very best to get her to go by Ivanna Thumpalot.
No dice.
