I didn't think SD was that bad. It's definitely went drastically down hill since last year though. I never used to buy into the whole idea that Vince intentionally wants them to do bad so Raw looks better in comparison, but I dunno how else you can get into such a mess with such a roster.
I don't wanna get into fantasy booking but I'm sure the majority of us could have SDL in a far better place in 3 months. Some things need to change.

SmackDown is the "Land of Opportunities"! Meanwhile... Tye Dillinger was booked to look awful against AJ. It's not like him and Corbin had a full out brawl that could explain why Tye wasn't at 100%. Sami Zayn finally gets on TV only to be included as a pawn in a story that doesn't involve him. Remember when people begged for him to be traded to SD? Mike Kanellis finally gets TV time and loses to a guy who should be a heel. Dolph Ziggler's big return got bumped off the show. Rusev hasn't been given a chance to shine at all. Rowan & Harper are still MIA. Don't get me wrong, SD does some things right. But it's not utilizing half of it's real stars. Like, I love the Fashion Files, but get them in the ring occasionally. Reunite Rowan & Harper since neither is doing ANYTHING. Get Mike Kanellis a partner who can't stand Mike & Maria's lovey-dovey shtick. Perhaps Dillinger or Ziggler? Or put Ziggler in a feud with Sami. Both can deliver and should be an entertaining feud. Let Rusev get a win! Find someway to showcase the real talent instead of giving Shane a new feud for him to lose. Just my lil rant. Tye - Kevin Owens powerbombs someone on the ring apron back first, the guy is out for months. Baron Corbin blindsides and smashes Tye's head into the edge of the apron. If continuity was a thing, that would be a "concussion." So yeah, it works. I expect to see Dillinger involved more in this now. Or they run an angle where Corbin says he's going to go accept the challenge, a low to midcarder gets there first and is attacked by Corbin. Leading to a lumberjack match. They did this with Luger in WCW when he was breaking people's arms. I also expect Sami to get involved in the Shane storyline.

The most disappointing thing about Tye taking up the openchallenge was AJ didn't pull out a 4* match with a random mud carder like Cena used to do every week.
I hope they've not brought it back just as an excuse to start a Corbin feud.

Well, it has brought back the special guest referee which should please figure collectors who want a referee for their collections. We now have the possibility of referee Shane, KO, and Corbin.

Random thoughts on SD this week.
The sooner Jinder loses the title the better. He's had it for far longer than necessary now. That opening segment with the Singh Brothers was cringe worthy to watch Not sure how I feel about Roode being a face just yet. I'll need to see him in an actual programme first before I can comment.
I legit forgot Mike Kanellis was even on the roster. That push ended fast.
Great seeing Shelton Benjamin back!
Baron Corbin is still a generic wooden emotionless mule.
Enjoying the Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon stuff and looking forward to seeing what it leads to. I can never get enough Shane O'Mac!
Glad to finally see Dolph Ziggler back on screen. Really enjoying the content of his promos, especially when he called Balor a charisma vacuum. Not sure exactly what it's leading to, but I get the feeling that like everything else they do with him, it's probably going to lead to nothing and he'll be right back where he was before. I hope to god I'm wrong.
Dean Ambrose's potted plant had more presence than Tamina does.
Not a bad SD this week. Really looking forward to Orton and Nakamura next week. They've given away a lot of these first time dream matches for free this year. Cena vs. Nakamura. Orton vs. Styles and now this one.
