Rowdy Roddy Piper's Greatest Hits. I used to rent it all the time, then I finally found a mint sealed copy in a clamshell case. I still have it. Same here! lol

It was especially fun finding new tapes over the years, at the video stores. My local video store usually had WWF PPVs (a few NWA and random non-PPV WWF coliseums). In the early 90s, hitting the flea markets, I would find the non-PPV videos. Then finally finding a blockbuster in 1993, I found a lot of the missing years of WWF PPVs (my video store didn't have summerslams or survivor series 1991 or 1992).

Let me tell you, I became a master at copying VHS tapes at an early age haha!
I could have bought some of those videos several times over with how much money I spent just renting them over the years. Always recorded on slow speed as that was as close as it got to HD in the VCR era.

Always recorded on slow speed as that was as close as it got to HD in the VCR era. That was the beauty of most wrestling tapes, they didn't have a blocker on them so you couldn't record them. My friend had two VCRs and we would go to a movie rental store and rent like 10 wrestling tapes for $10 for 5 days. And we would copy them all. I know that you can get more on it if you taped it on EP, you could fill up 6 hours worth on a VHS tape, but you are right about taping it on SLP. It would only be a 3 hour tape, but your stuff would look crystal clear and crisp like it was the actual master copy you were watching.

Pretty sure we aren't allowed to talk about copying tapes.

I never bought any, but I rented all of the VHS tapes that the 3 video stores around me had, at least once each. My favorites were the Survivor Series. It felt like the entire roster was on the card every year, up until 1992.

Pretty sure we aren't allowed to talk about copying tapes. The copying of video tapes was well over 20 years ago now. I think the statute of limitations on that allows it to be okay. Especially when there are other ways now of getting wrestling shows that are still considered illegal in the USA. Luckily, not in Canada though.

I think it's still considered pirating. And I am pretty sure the Admins locked up a thread about coping tapes or selling copied tapes sometime within this last year.
