Don't care what anyone says...that Goldberg is awesome. Really?! Exactly what is "awesome" about it? The thing looks nothing like him and has the proportions of a grey alien... not Goldberg. He appears to have the sad looking, "concerned father" eyebrows that old BCA Jakks Stone Cold figures had as well. Maybe Mattel is basing this figure on Goldbeg's reaction after seeing this very headsculpt. Pass the big guy some Kleenex. It doesn't matter why I think it looks awesome.

I wanted this ring initially, but it just looks incredibly cheap, which it certainly isn't. Definitely gonna pass

So the head still looks crazy big! Hopefully Mattel releases a basic Goldberg with resized head, sigh,

This is probably one my biggest Mattel disappointments. I think the Goldberg is fine, but the turnbuckles completely kill the ring for me.

Are the ropes tight? Like can the figures stand in them? My esr has the loose ropes

Haha this whole thing is junk. Obvs kids will want it. Or those who still go mad for anything new no matter how big a waste of money it is. Mattel hasnt put out a really good ring so far. The basics are too small. The elite is too big and this ones a $100 piece of plastic crap. I hate the big black bar above the cloth apron. I can agree with it for the light up sides but not the others it looks awful. Goldberg is one of the worst goldbergs ive ever seen going back to osftm. Painted on lips i see as well. Everyone go pick up a jakks rsr or one of the few equilivants from different companies.

It's easy to see everything wrong with it, so I welcome opposing views.

Look at the the ring posts on the old jakks rings (not the rsr), those things were so short and they would bend.

Everyone go pick up a jakks rsr or one of the few equilivants from different companies. Agree the rsr or equivalent is somehow the best sized ring for Mattel figures, which sucks because its ring post design is flimsy and decades old. Mattel was close here though I think. Also you don't need the black bars to pin over the apron if Mattel released some alternate aprons that fit like the rsr aprons do. Right now the cloth apron only covers two opposite sides so there's some visible gapping at the corners where the apron meets the plastic led apron piece without the bar to pin and cover

To me it's like the disappointment of replacing the jakks hardcore ring,(which was best ring at the time)with the real sounds arena ...If any of you kids remember that! The Goldberg is average at best, and the ring itself just seems kind of cheap looking.im glad some of you enjoy this, but for me it's an easy pass

In terms of quality, and how it's made, this ring blows every other ring away. It's not even close. The ring posts are never caving in, and the mat/apron stays in place. The playability for kids is great. It looks very nice in a display with an entrance stage and barricades. The ring posts and mat do not go as high as I'd like, but I display my stuff, so that's not a huge deal for me. As for Goldberg, the head is not oversized, and the proportions are fine. If anyone is on the fence about the figure, or the ring...find a way to see it for yourself. Don't base your decision on a bunch of goofs who don't even have the ring or the figure. Their opinions are worthless.

When you start dismissing the opinions of people simply because they're negative and differ from yours, it comes across like you're simply trying to justify your purchase. There are very clear aesthetic and design choices, namely the turnbuckles and the height of the posts, that not everyone is going to he a fan of, and they don't need to own the product to voice those. They have just as much right to criticize what they see as you do to fellate it.

My issue is with those who are saying it looks "cheap." That is simply wrong. Anyone who has this ring will tell that is not an issue at all. Of course they can voice their opinions without owning the product, but their conclusions mean absolutely nothing and really should be ignored. Especially in terms of the Goldberg figure. The criticisms there are just not correct.

Personally, I think they Goldberg figure is fine outside of the lips, but that doesn't mean I'm going to crap on anyone that has issues with the figure.

The old school ropes don't look as good as I hoped. Gonna put the red back on. Also diesel is killing the ring height for me uh oh Diesel looks about as tall as Andre compared to the ropes irl here, seals the deal for me,I'm sticking with my esr from 5 years ago.
