Seeing as how Stephen King's remake well reboot of the 1990 horror classic IT comes out tomorrow nationwide in theatres I was wondering if anyone has seen "IT" yet? If so, what do you think about it?

Seeing it with a bunch of friends this evening for my birthday. Just finished the book about a week ago, couldn't be more excited.

Went with my mom tonight (She's a huge Stephen King fan so this was her birthday present), we both loved it. The kids absolutely nailed it in this movie too.

I just saw it today, too, and thought the cast was exceptional for their age. I need to read the book now. I usually can't take horror films seriously but this was good because it it rooted in childhood imagination and fear.

All I'm gonna say is that they left one scene in the book out of both adaptations and rightfully so.

Better than a lot of the recent "horror" movies that have come out. I had a few nit picks but overall an enjoyable movie. 7.5/10.
I just feel that this is a book that will always be difficult to adapt to film/TV. Maybe in the future we'll get a 10-part miniseries that will be able to get more in depth with everything, but I feel that movie wise, this is the best we'll get.

IMHO Stephen King has always been much much better at writing kid characters than adult characters. That is a major reason I rank It as one of his better books, though not on the same level as Misery but still miles better than a lot of the airplane flight read and toss crap he has written over the years. I'm not going to see It in the theaters but will make time for it once it comes out on DVD. The book certainly deserves better treatment than it got in the TV mini-series (where the kid actors stole the whole show from the adults and the ending was puke worthy).

I think you will be impressed by the kid actors in this film. They really bring life to the film. I am in the middle of a few book series (one being Dark Tower) but will try to make room for It either in December or May when I have more free time.

Saw it on Saturday. I liked it but didn't think it was anything too special. The kids were the best part of the movie. I liked how they didn't come off as actors playing kids from the 80s, but rather they came off as actual 80s kids.
Pennywise was cool. CGI was a little weak in some spots but it wasn't too bad. My only real issue was I never got scared during the movie. There's a ton of jump scares, but for some reason I saw them all coming from a mile away so they had no impact on me.
I'm hearing the sequel could be out in 2019.

Movie was a bore. Not scary just a cobbled bunch of gotcha moments. Clown was good and half the kids were good

I liked the movie, but there weren't any "scary" moments. Hell, I hated Annabelle: Creation, but even in that one there were a couple of jump-worthy moments.
This was a good psychological movie with great acting and a few funny moments. Like the poster earlier said, it played off of childhood imagination and fears. Definitely worth watching, even if it's on the computer.

I enjoyed it. I like the Tim Curry miniseries more, but this was a good movie.
The acting in the new movie was top notch, IMO. Ritchie stole the show

My friend saw it and said "They did so much terrible sh*t to those kids on screen that I thought they were gonna include the orgy in the sewers." TIL: In the novel all the kids bang the chick to become adults. What the ? Cool that they didn't hold back on the violence and gore just because they are kids, though. Gonna pick it up on Blu Ray eventually and get my own opinion.

I really enjoyed IT. One of the better horror films in years and easily one of the better remakes. Only scene I didn't like was the bathroom cleaning scene.
Kids were great actors. Very entertaining group.

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, I was just expecting more "Horror" and less "OMG did you see Stranger Things? Let's do that!".
Speaking of which, that Stranger Things kid was *almost* as bad as Robin in Lego Batman. Like, one or two more Michael Scott jokes from him would've killed the whole thing for me.
But seriously, lovely film for what it was. Just don't do what I did and have a pre-set tone in mind, 'cause it's not that kind of movie at all.
