I always wondered if this happened, and I couldn't remember if it did. But when going through my old WWF Superstars stuff it did occur. In January of 1994. The ironic thing is about this, is that they were hyping up the Hart Brothers vs. Quebecers match, and Jacques made it clear to Ray that 'brother's don't have to like each other, and brother's don't have to even get along." I am not sure if those were inside jabs at Ray, or if Jac ques was just saying it for story line purposes only. Either way, kind of cool to see Raymond interviewing his brother and Pierre.
Also, anyone actually like The Quebecers??
I was a huge fan of them for some reason. I just always enjoyed the matches they had with their opponents. Plus Johnny Polo always made me laugh.

Do Ray & Jacques not get along? If so, I never knew that.
I liked both the Rougeau Brothers & The Quebecers. At first they were both annoying & irritating, but they were perfect heel teams. Shame Ray & Jacques never held the tag titles, though.

I liked the Quebecers as well. Their Tower of Quebec finisher was great. Johnny Polo as the annoying manager was the icing on the cake.

always considered the rougeau's cowards for how they handled dynamite kid's bullying - i'm biased being a massive dynamite kid fan. that and i'm not a large fan of most of the french canadian talent that has come in.

I was/am a BIG fan of the Rougeau Brothers/The Mountie/The Quebecers/Jean-Pierre LaFitte/Amazing French Canadians. I may be in the minority.

I thought the Quebecers were a solid heel tag team. Their match against Bret and Owen at the 1994 Royal Rumble is still one of my childhood favorites just because of all the emotion involved and the crazy fallout between the Hart brothers afterwards.
Jacque and Pierre came onto the scene together in '93, were featured prominently throughout their run, then vanished suddenly and were never heard from again. The same thing happened with Ludvig Borga.
Were there any vignettes before they debuted? Jacques, who was obviously The Mountie, had not been seen in the WWF since WrestleMania VIII. I know he was despised by the Kliq, but Pierre was pretty agile for a bigger guy and carried a lot of the workload during their matches. Adding Johnny Polo only helped them draw more heat from the fans. Their music was classic and they had a pretty cool finisher, too.
They lost by DQ to Men on a Mission at WrestleMania X and the next thing I remember they had dropped the belts to The Headshrinkers (who I thought were still heels at the time). I heard something about Jacques getting injured, but I don't know if that's true or not. Pierre stuck around and became a pirate. He disrespected Nash at a house show and that pretty much sealed his fate.
They really did have a great repertoire of tag team moves. That Boston Crab/leg drop combo is one of my favorites.

Just to say that the mountie was at summerslam and was still round near survivor series 92 and was due to face the bulldog before he got fired and dropped the belt to hbk. I agree though. Good team at a time when good teams were disappearing. Their tag moves were fresh and always enjoyed seeing them.

Same. It was a cowardly act, but Dynamite had something like that coming. He was as famous for his innovative style as he was for being a ruthless bully. Big difference between a locker room enforcer and just a huge prick. I still enjoy watching his matches, but don't respect much about the guy after that.

Dick or not nobody deserves to be sucker punched with a roll of quarters. I am sure if he had confronted Dynamite like a man even if he lost instead of sucker punching him everyone including Dynamite would respected him. What he did was very cowardly.

Dynamite smacked Ray in the face when he was on crutches in front of everyone just because he knew Ray couldn't do anything back while being injured. I can't say what the Rougeau's did was cowardly or not, because there are many different stories about what went down that day. But I am not shocked that it did happen to Dynamite Kid.

Yes I heard all the stories about what happened. Not condoning what Dynamite did, but an open hand slap even if it was bsided is a hell of a lot different than getting blind sided with a punch in the mouth with a roll of quarters.

Never gonna happen though. Has it been confirmed they disbanded due to Jacque getting injured? I think Pierre hung around solo for a brief time afterwards. He didn't resurface until spring '95 so I guess they couldn't find anything for him during that stretch. The pirate character was goofy, but he had some pretty damn good matches with Bret. Pierre was very agile and quick for a guy who was always on the heavier side. Look up some of his debut matches as Jean Pierre Lafitte if you're in the mood for some classic jobber squash matches. The dude could move and had some crazy moves.
