Just saw this on twitter. Can't wait! Halloween has always been. My favourite horror franchise! Since she was killed off, I wonder how they will bring her back. Also, how crazy is it that next year is the 40th anniversary of Halloween!

They wouldn't have to explain anything. I heard this new Halloween film is going to be a direct sequel to 1981's Halloween II.

Just read about this. The first Halloween is one of the best horror movies ever. Halloween 2 is a great sequel.
...but then they decided to make him Jason Voorhees in Halloween 4 and so on.
Now with Danny McBride writing, Seth Gordon Green directing, John Carpenter possibly scoring the damn thing, and wanting to take it back to its roots...this is pretty damn awesome news.
I'm ready.

First Halloween movie I've been looking forward to in ages. Sucks that it's over a year away though.

Sweet. I need a good classic horror fix. Especially since the Friday the 13th reboot got axed.

Fully expecting this to be awesome. I recently read where Carpenter met with McBride and the other guy and Carpenter was blown away. He said it's going to be great. Now add Jamie Lee back into the mix? ing wow

It's almost surreal. I feel like this is going to be what Halloween H20 was supposed to be, in terms of bringing back Curtis and Carpenter. I'm really looking forward to how McBride and Green ground the series again. Hopefully this will be as amazing as it sounds.

I really like H20. My biggest gripes lie in the reused Scream 2 score as opposed to a traditional Halloween score

So erasing H20 and Resurrection completely? Make zero sense.

I actually feel meh about this. I like the original, II and H20 as a trilogy. I just don't see much point in this. This is pure nostalgia baiting, on something that's already been nostalgia baited. I just honestly don't want another one, and I'd rather it be a standalone type of thing if they insist on doing it.
I'm still to sour after Resurrection and the Zombie films to want more from this franchise I think.

So erasing H20 and Resurrection completely? Make zero sense. Makes perfect sense considering they both were horrible. H20 was the better of the 2. But, still horrible.
