The time has come my friends. We're almost near release date.
This year I will finally have a modern Universe after years of WCW and ECW ones.
What is everyone going to be up to in the updated Universe mode?

Still haven't figured mine out. I don't really want to do more than 3 shows but I still find it hard to prominently feature everyone with such a stacked roster this year.

This will be the first time I'll attempt a 2nd Universe.
My primary one will be a 2002-2012 Universe. I'll only do Raw and Smackdown but I'll also include some past/modern stars I really like. My calendar year will look more like 2005/2006.
My 2bd Universe will be a Super Indy one. ROH and NJPW every week and PWG once a month. Anyone who used to compete for those promotions but is in wwe now will be used.

I'm just going to do one Universe save, basically including all of the game's roster that I like. At this point I'm unsure if I want to adapt my 2K17 Universe roster, or just make a completely different one, bearing in mind that the majority of the roster will be locked to start with (I don't want to use the Accelerator). The new goals feature will make it much easier to dictate the story of each individual superstar.
At this point my goal is simply to make it through an entire Universe year. I've never been able to do that before. The closest I got with 2K17 was October. The new changes should make it much easier to stay interested.
I know it's not strictly Universe mode, but as soon as WWE 2K18 comes down in a Steam sale, I'll buy it and move my YouTube CAW league onto it. Not technically Universe (as I use standard play to produce it), but it's running my own federation, which is essentially what Universe mode is supposed to be, so I thought I'd mention it also.

I’m usually a year behind with the WWE 2K games. I’m going to stick with my roster formula that I’ve been using for years.
Monday – Raw – any SuperStar on the current roster who is a former World Champion Tuesday – Smackdown Live – any SuperStar on the current roster who hasn’t won a World Championship Title Wednesday – WWE SuperStars – featuring SuperStars from Raw and Smackdown Live Thursday – Raw Is War – any Legend who is a former World Champion Friday – Smackdown! – any Legend who hasn’t won a World Championship Title Saturday – Saturday Night’s Main Event – featuring Legends from Raw is War and Smackdown!
Pay Per Views feature 2 rosters at a time. April – Raw is War and Smackdown! May– Raw and Smackdown Live June – Smackdown Live and Smackdown! July – Raw and Raw Is War August – Raw is War and Smackdown! September– Raw and Smackdown Live October – Smackdown Live and Smackdown! November – Raw and Raw Is War December – Raw is War and Smackdown! January – Raw and Smackdown Live February – Smackdown Live and Smackdown! March – Raw and Raw Is War

I plan on doing Raw/SmackDown Live/205 Live/NXT
There's plenty of guys on disc this year so I shouldn't get too bored with the mode...hopefully.

I'm going to have 2 different Universes set up, that I can switch back and forth between at my leisure.
UNIVERSE 1 - MODERN DAY
Raw and Smackdown set up just as they are on TV, with the inclusion of all the NXT talents spread out between both rosters. I will also have Superstars or Main Event one on every Saturday, with just 4 matches, that is set up to host matches from both Raw and Smackdown.
I will leave all the PPV's just as 2K has them set up probably, as it looks like they had all the current ppv's.
As a play I may here and there over the months bring back a Legend or two that might believably come back in modern day, that can still go like Goldberg, Batista, Kurt Angle, or RVD.
UNIVERSE 2 - WWE ALL STARS
There will be Raw, SD, and a weekend show. Then, all the PPV's 2K has set up. But ALL talent will be able to wrestle on ALL shows (like the old days). The roster will be made up of ALL the Legends in the game, and then the best of the best of the modern era in singles and tag (such as the Shield, AJ Styles and the Club, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, etc.)
There will be 1 World Title (The WWF Championship from the 80's/90's) 2 Mid Card Titles (The Classic 80/90's IC Title and the European Title) 1 set of Tag Titles (the 80's/90's WWF Tag Titles)
I love that as of 2K17 we can have more than one Universe going. This allows me to play with the current people, then just switch over to another and use the Legends.
I may even make a 3rd Universe of JUST Legends. But I'd say the 2 will do.

My Universe will consist of 6 territories (Northeast, Southeast, Midsouth, Midwest, Southwest and Canada). My current plan is to just use the people whovare unlocked in the beginning of the game, and then gradually unlock everyone else over time in the future. There's 3 titles that will be shared between each territory, a World Title, a World Tag Team Title, and a World Women's Title. My first shows will consist of tournament matches and squash matches. Once those three champions are crowned, I'll start introducing regional titles for each territory.

Once those three champions are crowned, I'll start introducing regional titles for each territory. I love your Universe concept. Thank you. I hope when I start streaming it, everyone does. I forgot to post my starting rosters. Northeast Roster Batista, Becky Lynch, Big Cass, Billie Kay, Carmella, Curt Hawkins, Darren Young, Enzo Amore, Finn Balor, John Cena, Karl Anderson, Kurt Angle, Luke Gallows, Mojo Rawley, Peyton Royce, Rich Swann, Sasha Banks, Zack Ryder Southeast Roster AJ Styles, Alicia Fox, Apollo Crews, Big Show, Bo Dallas, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, Cedric Alexander, Charlotte Flair, Dash Wilder, Erick Rowan, Heath Slater, Luke Harper, Mickie James, Naomi, Roman Reigns, R-Truth, Scott Dawson, Titus O’Neil Midsouth Roster Asuka, Ember Moon, Epico Colon, Gran Metalik, Hideo Itami, Jack Gallagher, Killian Dain, Konnor, Mark Henry, No Way Jose, Noam Dar, Paige, Primo Colon, Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sin Cara, Tamina, Viktor Midwest Roster Aiden English, Alexa Bliss, Baron Corbin, Brock Lesnar, Chad Gable, Curtis Axel, Dana Brooke, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Jason Jordan, Johnny Gargano, Kalisto, Kassius Ohno, Randy Orton, Rhyno, Roderick Strong, Seth Rollins, Summer Rae, Tommaso Ciampa Southwest Roster Akira Tozawa, Bayley, Big E, The Brian Kendrick, Brie Bella, Cesaro, Goldust, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Neville, Nia Jax, Nikki Bella, Rob Van Dam, Samoa Joe, Sheamus, TJP, Xavier Woods Stampede Roster Akam, Alexander Wolfe, Bobby Roode, Emma, Eric Young, Fandango, Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens, Maryse, Natalya, Nick Miller, Nikki Cross, Rezar, Sami Zayn, Sawyer Fulton, Shane Thone, Tye Dillinger, Tyler Breeze, Tyson Kidd One thing about the Midsouth roster. When I started removing wrestlers from the completed roster I have because I'm only using day 1 unlocked wrestlers/DLC, the Midsouth roster was left with like 7-8 wrestlers. So for now so I can make the rosters sorta even, I moved wrestlers from different territories to fit on the Midsouth roster. That's why Midsouth looks the way it does. I will start unlocking wrestlers that belong on the Midsouth and move the moved wrestlers to their rightful rosters as time goes by. I'm currently prebooking the first few shows, like I said, it'll mostly be tournament matches and squash matches. I'm booking up to the Supershow where the World champions are crowned. Once the supershow/s are done, the large events will consist of every two weeks, a territory will have their own large event, with two supershows taking place, one in October with the Royal Rumble (I'll call that show the Battle Rumble), and one at the end of the year, called Ultimate Challenge. The Battle Rumble will have one match with a territory, and then the Battle Rumble match where the best of every territory face each other, with the winner getting a title shot at the World Heeavyweight Title at Ultimate Challenge. The Ultimate Challenge will have 4 inter-territory matches, and the World Titles on the line. Also every large event once I unlock this guy, Andre the Giant will be making special appearances. I decided he's the only wrestler not to belong to a territory because I can't see myself using him on the regular, and it'll make more sense to protect him with this concept. I think the Battle Rumble is the only large event I won't use him in.

Similar to what I did with last year. Partial ebooking of the years PPV's (so Rumble - Hell in a Cell) then from Survivor Series until WrestleMania 35, it's all custom.

Will be doing an online universe with my cousin (using PS4's share play) we had a short run through a couple weeks ago on 2k17 to make sure it was all possible. Just doing a brand extension but all PPVs will be dual branded. Atm set on doing RAW & Smackdown Live but could change. Whole roster will be available to draft, pushing Angle to the moon!
Think for my solo one I'll just use real life rosters and play it pretty much as a sim with some minor changes.

Can we still do up to 3 Universes like last year? If so I will have a modern Universe, a Monday Night Wars Universe and a WCW Universe like I did in 2k17.

Some great feuds going on so far in Universe.
Raw: Cena (06) (WWE) vs Sting (98) has been going on since the first show. Intense rivalry with some great promos. Started out as seeing who's the best until Cena started talking down to Sting following the main event of Backlash. Now I'm in July and they're still going strong.
SD!: Batista (WHC) vs Undertaker has been a nasty feud. Batista continues to attack 'Taker in order to ensure he keeps winning.
ECW: Angle (ECW) vs various opponents has been fun. Took the belt from RVD at One Night Stand and has gone on to face Ohno, Joe, and now Big Boss Man.

I thought I read promos caused the game to crash in Universe mode? Because I just stared a Universe and the very first thing I set on my RAW card was a call out Promo with Sting. He called out Triple H. I lost the promo, but my game didn't crash I finished the show without any issues.
