There was a heated confrontation between Jim Cornette and Santino Marella that was captured on video by a fan. The incident took place during a wrestling convention in Detroit, Michigan.
The heat between the two of them goes back to 2005 in OVW. Marella was supposed to act scared of The Boogeyman during a segment and instead laughed. Cornette, who was booking for OVW, responded by slapping Marella which led to Cornette losing his job with WWE

I have a feeling Santino started it. He probably wanted to get Jim back for slapping him 12 years ago. Who filmed this and how did they know it was going to happen? I hope it's not a work. It shouldn't be since a lot of people were cheated out of meeting jim.

Just goes to show what I've known all along, Jim Cornette is nothing but a little bitch that runs his mouth and can't back anything up. Cornette is also not a wrestler and is like 20+ years older than Marella. |

Never liked Marella as a wrestler or performer and have read some stories that make him sound like a sketchy dude in real life. One of the most overrated performers in WWE history imo.

Im on Cornette's side here. I'm sure he didn't go up to Santino to start trouble. Again Santino was butt hurt about something that happened 12 years ago so he made trouble. I love how Cornette cussed to his face. If he was a "little bitch" he'd be scared to even do that.

Jim Cornette's face was as red as Kane's mask. Either he was embarrassed or his blood pressure was way too high.
But honestly... Cornette is a fool. The man is 30 years behind on everything. The fact that fans still listen to him like he has some kind of gospel thing to say is just ridiculous.

Having seen the video, it looked more like Santino wanted to get Cornette riled up, which he succeeded in. He even walked out calmly drinking hos coffee when he was escorted out. Cornette tried to walk away, so for that I'll take Cornettes side, which i wouldn't have . I'd love to hear who started it though

I honestly dont know whether to believe they shook hands then all of a sudden Cornette blew up. Personally, i think Cornette and Santino crossed paths, Santino said something to him and Cornette blew up. I dont think Cornette hated Santino in a way that he'd blow up first. Plus like it was seen in the video, Cornette tried to walk away and Marella got in his way. That makes me believe Santino started it |
