Apologies if there was already a thread on it, I'll be the first to admit I didn't look very hard before posting. How did you guys feel about it? I'm on the fence. As a huge fan of the series, it's exciting we've gotten two new movies in recent years. I appreciate the concept for what it was as unexplored territory but I didn't think it was great. As nice as the novelty of having Alex Vincent in it is on paper, he isn't a good actor. Fiona Dourif looks so much like her dad it's ing scary.

Watched it on Netflix this morning. It was ok for what it was. Not the best of the chucky movies. Also cool to see Alex Vincent.

Actually watched it and Curse Of Chucky today. Fantastic continuations of the series. I thought they would be reboots. Bring back all these old series names has been brilliant too. Can’t wait for the next one.

Noticed it a few days ago in Wal-Mart. It truly boggles my mind that it's still relevant, but it's nice to see Jennifer Tilly get some work.

Yea, the acting isn’t great, but let’s be honest, whoever they’d get for a reboot wouldn’t be much better. Plus bringing back all the major series players gives it a great nostalgia feel.

1st one scared the hell out of me as a kid. I threw Teddy Ruxbin and some Bingo talking bear into my toy box and moved the TV on top of it.

I thought it was awfully boring and the cgi was terrible just like the last movie

Need to give this movie a watch soon, a fan of the older movies for what they are even if they are cheesy to watch nowadays. The second and third ones are the best in my opinion, bride being the last decent one in the entire franchise in my opinion.

I'm a huge fan of the first and third Chucky movies, they are definitely a guilty pleasure. The 2nd is cool but it's definitely at the bottom of that list. I have mixed feelings about Bride and Seed, even with its tongue-in-cheek whatever it's supposed to be, doesn't do it for me at all. I absolutely hated Curse of Chucky.
All that having been said this one was definitely a step above that one and it's cool to get Andy back in the fold. Definitely love that he keeps the original one locked away to torture.
All THAT having been said, I don't understand why these movies attract so much schlock/bad acting. Maybe it's an era/timing thing, but one of the things I liked about the old ones is they took themselves SO seriously. That hasn't bled through to any of these films since Bride, even when they try to take it more seriously/make it frightening. I guess ultimately it's like what can you even expect from a Chucky movie, but that having been said I don't think any of them will ever be as good as those first three. I do appreciate this one for giving it a shot and trying to come up with something new/involving Andy. They also should've just tried to cast Justin Whelan for that as Alex Vincent is not what he was when he was 9 haha
I also appreciate this one for being on Netflix immediately so I didn't have to pay anything to watch it and it was definitely better than that horrible initial trailer.
