This guy doesn't draw a dime as a champion. He may have a body of World Champion but his in ring work is terrible. Hope he loses it at Clash Of Champions in December or Royal Rumble in January. You do realize a heel isn't supposed to draw a dime, its his opponent. People pay to see him get beat. Nakamura sales were uo higher with the thought of him beating Mahal. So technically he did draw. Mahal is a draw in India. According to reports, he is nearing Khali status there. He will get a Road Warrior pop for sure in India. I can't wait to see it. People aren’t paying to see him get beat. They’re just not showing up anymore. Smackdown wasn’t taping in front of more than half empty buildings before Jinder became champion. They’ve also squandered away the ratings jump they garnered after going live last year. They’re sacrificing business in the territory that matters in an attempt to expand into a market that most analysts predict won’t bite at even a fraction of what they hope. This entire idea is predicated on the fact that a lot of people in India watch WWE clips on YouTube. There’s no comprehensive data that says they can monetize a significant number of those free-clip viewers. They can’t even do that here.

Not sure Jinder is the sole reason for Smackdown attendance decline as he hasn't been the focus lately. He certainly is a symptom though.
I don't think Nakamura being champion would have turned everything around either.
John Cena being champion would turn everything around but I don't see that coming anytime soon.
