I know people always talk about how Ricky Steamboat never wrestled as a heel in his entire career, but I almost want to say the same in regards about Tito Santana.
Did Tito ever wrestle as a heel??
I never seen him as one in any match I ever seen him wrestle in. That counts AWA, WWE, WCW, ECW, AWF and IWCCW. He was always the good guy when he wrestled.

I don't think so, I think Tito is in that rare company with Steamboat having an all face career. When I was searching to see if he was, he apparently has said in interviews, when he and Martel split, he basically begged Vince to be the heel, but Vince refused.

Tito was a classic babyface. I don't think he could've been mean if he tried. Very similar to Steamboat in that regard.

I don't recall Tito ever being a heel either. While a heel turn could've been interesting, like EvilDoink said I don't think it would've worked.
Vince made the better choice with turning Martel heel. The Model gimmick was gold.

I don't recall Tito ever being a heel either. While a heel turn could've been interesting, like EvilDoink said I don't think it would've worked. Vince made the better choice with turning Martel heel. The Model gimmick was gold. Definitely a heel to Bobby. He was always riding Chico. 😅 |
