If they somehow threw in Nakamura into the Balor AJ match, you'd have the most explosive match of the year. uninspired Naka might actually be a detriment to that match right now. Point taken. But this would motivate him big time. |

This show is a complete and utter disaster. I mean, I get it. crap happens. But, they literally built the entire show on the Shield reunion and now it's not happening. The Styles/Balor thing, though, is just miserable. Talk about giving away a potentially huge match for no reason. And they're both babyfaces. And Styles is on Smackdown. This...This mindset is why we can't have nice things. JK. I get what you're saying, but sometimes you don't need to actually build to something that's been in the air for quite some time. Don't know ifyou're one of them, but there are fans who wanted Sting and Taker for Mania. They could literally just announce it on the internet, and fans would go ape. No hype needed. |

But The Shield was what they were hyping up and now that's gone. The Shield being in the ring all at once was going to be awesome...

I'm more perturbed by Styles/Balor than I am the Angle situation. It makes absolutely no sense, it hurts the illusion of brand separation, and both guys need to win the match. It's just a bad idea all the way around. Angle being shoehorned into the main event is whatever. It's unfortunate that Angle's return to the ring is on this cluster  , but the situation is out of their hands. Like I said, I get it. They needed the biggest consolation prize they could find on short notice because they had to take away the only thing they sold the show on. It's not their fault, it's just an unfortunate deal. |

wow! I saw the thread title and instantly thought "someone needs to lock this crap up!" but this is crazy. AJ vs Finn could end up being match of the year if they give them some time to work. But I could also see the Good Brothers getting involved in some fashion. Angle seems like a very odd replacement. I would have like to have seen Kassius Ohno step in just to get a "what could have been" moment. Even if it only ends up being just for one night.

So we get an angle return and finn vs styles on one ppv? And some on this board are STILL finding a way to complain? Wow.
I for one was already looking forward to the ppv, but I really am. I'm sure we will get out shield reunion sometime soon, but I'm fine with it not happening now.

I get that they needed to come up with something decent to cover reigns not being in the shield but angle? His return should have been epic when he got back to the ring. Like teasing his return for a while and have someone really getting on his nerves but ah well. This is the best possible outcome for WWE with Angle. He doesn't have to do all the work , they can see if he can still go without any issues and they got the two workhorses, Ambrose and Rollins doing the dirty work for most of the match. 'member this when Kurt gets tossed around by Stroman and then jumps from a ladder lol. |

I have mixed feelings on this.
I wanted The Shield to be together for this match.
I wouldn't put Angle in this match, I would have put Balor with Rollins and Ambrose instead and scrapped the Wyatt vs. Balor match all together.

Regarding Balor/Styles; while I disagree strongly with doing this match at this point in time, it may be an easy way to get a Team Raw/Team Smackdown Survivor Series match started. They could basically have a non-finish with other Raw and Smackdown guys getting involved. It's not a great scenario, but it's a best of a bad situation kind of deal. At the very least, it's better than just saying "we're going to have a Raw vs. Smackdown Survivor Series match."
Plus it gets them out of a clean finish, because, like I said, both guys need a win right now.
