If you ever get a Linda McMahon, I'd gladly purchase a cast of the head. I'll do anything....anything. Trust me...anything

I used to have the Prototype jerry lawler that came with Rop. It was a wrestlemania shirt and blue tights while the one released had jeans. I had got it from the same guy who got the ROTR 4 and TTLseries 12 prototypes if anyone remembers that from 2001.
Love your collection, this stuff is so cool to look at.

Awesome! The CS line is still my all time favourite toy line. Absolutely, same here. I will never have the same thrill like it was going to stores for the earlier Classic Superstars sets. Seeing CS 1 for the first time in stores was like nothing before. It was the start of an incredible line. Finding that series and the first Tag Team series wave was incredible. Just not the same anymore. The Flashbacks are just too few and far between and getting harder to find by the minute. I wondered for years when the Mattel curse was going to kick in. From 2010 to 2014 the figures were so easy to find and plentiful that I was lulled into a false sense of security. Then one day, just like the DC Universe Classics line from Mattel, the shelves overflowed with peg warmers and new sets got scarce and completely skipped in some cases. Collecting Mattel has become less pleasure and more chore. Back to the prototypes, there is some really cool stuff in there.

That's not too bad. Did it look cool? Just like the CS version. So yeah they were cool. I just delayed my bid for too long and then it was too late...

I found out about the CS line when the news broke in 2003. I never wanted a set more than CS Series 1. I found mine while was on vacation in New Hampshire at Walmart. Pretty sure I only found Shawn Michaels but luckily that was the one I wanted the most. Nothing will top the CS line, it's everything a hardcore fan could want. Series 1 was absolutely stacked but I will admit Taker was a bit disappointing, being a TTL and Andre the Giant was basically an R-3 Figure. Good point. For me what made it so special was the selection of superstars. Jakks was even making guys like Abdullah the Butcher, Zeus, Abe Schwartz. The obscure wrestlers were my favourites and will likely never be replicated by Mattel. Oh yeah, you had characters produced that you NEVER thought would ever see the light of day. The CS line is the best work Jakks ever did, in my opinion without a doubt.

I vaguely remember seeing that Jerry Lawler, not sure if it was at a Toy Fair but the WrestleMania shirt, rings a bell. I can't remember exactly but I could swear that there was a figure or figures, I think Dean Malenko? from the Rulers of the Ring line that were scrapped. Did the guy have any unproduced figures?

I'll try and hunt the Lawler down and take a picture. I had gotten it before there was a released Lawler so it was pretty awesome at the time As for what the guy had, I think the only figure that never got released that he had were Shane McMahon in Invasion shirt and maybe the RTC Val Venis. The rest were just the Prototypes, like regal had different arms and stuff like that. It's kills me I can't remember his username either but this was super early WFigs days

He always had figures weeks early in the end of the TTL days and a few unreleased figures, and lots of exclusive news then he just disappeared. I think he broke the ror4 Shane McMahon news when no body knew who the 6th figure of the set was going to be, as well as having the RTC Val Venis pic (might have just been a picture though) and getting the RA HBK figure without pony tail before RA5. So many fun memories of being a kid.

Time goes by too fast.

What’s that warrior figure kneeling down from? I bought those from Stomwijf. Those are Unreleased Marble Shooters by possibly Hasbro, Warrior and Hogan are wax and the other Warrior is painted Resin.

Mattel Prototypes? It's cool, I don't go after those. I'm more about Lines Pre-2002.

Not Mattel...the new RA style figures. The company can't be named here.
