I didn't see the show but according to pwinsider, as soon as Gail won her retirement match they cut to a backstage promo. That's real classy! Why not show her celebrating a little or cut a promo? Clearly pressed for time. Not sure how they screwed up the pace of the show, considering they dropped an entire match due to Taya not being able to travel. Drake/Impact was the best match of the night. They had great chemistry and Johnny's slide under the rail was a very cool spot. Too bad El Cabron ruined the end. Shocked at the double turn of OVE/LAX. Didnt make much sense. Loved Jimmy Jacobs debut, Tyson Dux appearance, Ishimori appearance and Sami debut. I hope Jacobs is more than just an on air talent. Would love to see him get the book. They went with it because LAX is more recognizable and popular, oVe badly needed an edge. They got that tonight with the addition of Sami Callihan.

I thought Grado vs Abyss was ok, It was the best built feud, and now Grado is back to The UK...For Now...

Kinda disheartening to hear how Berty was front and center tonight, setting him up for a prominent role on Impact now. The old TNA running joke how they can only survive on WWE castaways and leftovers continues. Not aware of how he is received in Mexico, but I can't see how this company can push him as a draw. They believe they can do what the biggest, most powerful, most successful wrestling promotion in the world couldn't: get him over as a top star. And that's not even mentioning his recent real life issues and bad reputation.
At least they're not continuing to cast him as a face...

But I dont even know the 2 guys who are teaming as LAX. And its not like LAX had been generating a lot of cheers as of late, while OVE was getting heat. The idea that OVE brought Sami in would seem more like a babyface move...in order to even the score. Then Sami takes out Cide (clearly not Cide). But Sami should have come out to stop Konnan from interfering and retain the babyface spot.

El Perro sure was getting winded during that promo. Maybe the coke binges are catching up to him.

LAX as an act is much more popular than oVe was (Orlando, Tijuana, Germany), and from what I've heard LAX was easily their hottest merchandise seller (granted they aren't selling much merch at all atm). As you said, it would make more sense for oVe to be face since they evened the odds, but I think everyone agrees Sami is much better as a heel.

Why in the hell would you bring Cide in to only get "taken out before the match", but worse yet...not even show his damn face!?!!?!? Waste of money. I think TNA's financial perils may more be on a waste of money than a lack thereof. I know nothing of who is selling merch and who isnt. I wouldnt be shocked by this, since they seem to be spending A LOT of time in Mexico. And yes, I agree Sami is a better heel.
