Been thinking how crazy the prices are going on the rarer Hasbro figures on eBay.
Are we at the period where the bubble is about to burst, or are we at the stage where figures get gradually more expensive, touching £150 and beyond for the loose Green card figures.
Discuss?

People have more money now. Wrestling fans are looking to obtain relics of their past over modern era toys cause the modern era sucks
It is interesting tho it could go one of two ways, either the remaining items become sort after by more people and the prices rise or less people and the prices fall. Either way my collection isn't my most prized possession but it is a prized possession and I'm not looking to sell it soon.
Just hope I can snap up some of the higher end pieces to near completion

It's going to continue to rise. Eventually they will drop. Right now I feel a lot of resellers are buying them up and driving the prices threw the roof. Sooner or later it will die down or people will need to sell to pay for more important things.

I'm buying hasbros, so far I got great prices. I need Andre and bossman from seriea 1 to complete that set. The value of them makes me want to sell now. But I'm going to hold onto them, unless an offer comes threw I just want a full set on English cards. And then i am done collecting for a long time.

It’s silly how high some of the figures are going for , I remember paying £40 like 10 years ago for loose 123 Kidd and I thought that was high then .
Only need two mailaways for a complete collection and that will set you back a house deposit right now lol .

Though, you need to move the Warlord behind the Rockers, you can't see Marty.

The Hasbro bubble will only burst when our generation pass away or get too old to remember. You have to think most of us that love the Hasbro's are probably aged between rough ages of 25-40 years old as back in 1990-1994 it was probably 5 to 15 year olds that wanted them. It will only carry on if those younger than us think they're a 'cool collectable' and what to get involved as well. Like all things, all good things must come to an end, when that is, nobody knows, but I am sure in 50 years time, the Hasbro range will be a distant memory unless some big toy collectors keep the hype going!

That doesn't sound bad at all for MOC Kid. The rest of the green cards can sell for more than that the past year or so. I just bought a complete set of 7 green cards loose, but pretty mint looking for $800. I think I did ok on it by current pricing. Then I was looking through his listings, and I saw he sold a complete set of red cards loose for like 185. I looked at the pic and thought it was the S4 Taker, but on closer looking and reading the description, it sounds like the mailaway! Just no coat though. Someone got a great deal on that, at least I think. I thought mailaway taker went for crazy money even loose. And I would think you could find a cloak for 30-40 bucks maybe.

800$ for a full set of green cards loose isn't bad at all. I would never spend more than 700$ i been looking a long time lol. I figure I'll be dropping 350$ for Bart and Billy soo. Probably 200$ to 250$ for crush. Adam, ludvig and yoko I would never go over 125$ each but that's just me. Dusty is another one. I wasn't a huge dusty fan, and I will never spend 400$ of more on him unless l come into a lot of money. He's been selling for over 500$ seen 600$ couple weeks back. Was just watching eBay and a SummerSlam MOC Dusty Rhodes just went for $1,125. To be fair, the card and figure were in excellent shape, one of the better versions I have seen go for sale on eBay. About a year ago, I saw a Series 2 Dusty Rhodes MOC sell for $730 - this one was also in excellent shape. As for green carded figures, most of the line is now going for over $200, the two exceptions have been Ludvig and Yoko - they typically go for around $125-$175. On eBay. But those prices are usually for MOC figures were the card is in good to excellent shape. Sometimes you can get these figure MOC for cheaper but the card is probably not in great condition. Also, the last few Undertaker Series 8 (Red Card) MOC figures have gone for over $300. And the Series 3 Brutus the Barber Beefcake and Ultimate Warrior can also fetch a high price as well, if they are MOC. Especially if the Brutus and Warrior are in english.

I feel the introduction of Mattel's Retros is also bringing new attention to the Hasbro line. I'm guilty of it. When I was a kid, I only had 1 Hasbro but had a ton of BCA's when they came out. So I can't say I had a real connection to the line. Sure, I remember them and a few of my friends had them but that was about it. Once Mattel came out with the Retros, I found myself on EBay searching for a few to mix in with this new series. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has jumped on since the release of Retros.
