I can’t be the only one here that is a fan of this show. Season five is upon us, and I am extremely excited. While I’ll admit it isn’t as good a show as Game of Thrones, I love Ragnar Lothbrok more than any character on Thrones. So, anyone else into this great show?

I'm a big fan. I'm very pleased with Ragnar's story last year and how they closed it. I'm glad his character left us with some exciting storylines with his sons.

I first heard of his characters end before I even began the show. Still, all my friends raved about the show so I gave it a shot and binged it all. I’m currently on my second pass. Honestly I didn’t think I’d want to watch after his death, but so much happened in the short time since then. Next season looks insane. Hearing Edge will be part of the cast and seeing where they filmed in Wicklow County, Ireland last month has me so ing hyped.

This season looks fresh! I'm very excited for Ironside's story.

Huge fan since the start, love Ragnar (not just ‘cos he’s played by a fellow Aussie in Travis Fimmel) but it’s so well done; gritty and heartfelt, epic and violent)
Never understood the Game of Thrones references, nor cared - the history buff in me was always enthralled with Norse and Scandinavian folklore, and this show had me hooked right fast...really looking forward to season five.
Season four felt like two seasons in one, can only wonder how season five will go.

Watched it last night, longer episode than first thought, but it was good... Ivar is such a great character IMO, his penchant for raiding and warfare comes through well in parts, though Hvitserk and Ubbe aren’t really afforded the same sort of development. I think Floki ended up in Scotland or Wales. His eyes looked quite different without the liner. The bishop is good but as he seems to have a modern day haircut I can’t buy it. A shame after all the manipulation he did, no one was able to kill King Ecbert...oh well. Not sure what’s going on with Lagertha - especially in that scene - but King Harald just has the look of a guy you instantly can’t trust. Let’s see where it goes from here.

I believe Lagertha was showing she had all the power. That if she wanted to she could use him and throw him away. Therefore not needing to be his wife. Ivar is so insane. I love it. The melted cross scene was perfect. In a way it seems like all of Ragnars traits are split between the brothers. Ubbe had a very Ragnar vibe during the assault on the church. Floki has clearly lost it. More than ever before. I’m excited for his story this season, especially to see how it goes with Edge’s character.

Oh, of course she is - that was clear, but the seeds of doubt from the former maid (forgot her name) were interesting to see. Did you see Astrid hesitating to kill Harald coming to bite her on the a**e? Yeah, Ivar is great, but pity my brother can't see it that way - he can't stand him and has to tell me often that he doesn't like him. Hopefully you don't have to watch with someone like that... Floki saying 'This world doesn't interest me anymore' was extremely poignant. Haven't heard much about Edge's involvement, but the real challenge for him (at least for me) is to make me not see him as Adam Copeland/Edge and that of the character he will be portraying. Good stuff so far.

Good stuff so far. Floki lost himself completely losing Ragnar and then Helga. All I know about Edge’s character is that he is playing famous viking Ketill Flatnose and that he will have something to do with Floki’s journey. But I agree, it’s going to be hard for me not to see him as Edge.

Such a terrific actor, isn't he, Gustaf Skarsgard? Yeah, that's all I've heard too. If my knowledge of Norse history is correct then I was wrong about Scotland or Wales ...bugger...

As for his dad, well, that goes without saying, eh? Stellan Skarsgard has been awesome in everything I've seen him in. Are you curious about Rollo at all?

Are you curious about Rollo at all? I really am. I haven’t seen anything about him in promotional material but could have sworn he was returning for this season. I’d love to see more of his story though it did seem kind of wrapped last season.

I've seen some stuff online saying he will be back in season 5 in some capacity, despite his storyline from season 4 wrapping up as you said in a way where he doesn't get killed off or anything like that...that's as far as I've gone as many of these sites have spoiler warnings everywhere...
