That sucks that he got released, since you know, it's a good paying job and he was doing something that he loved.
But this past year for him has got to be the greatest year of his life.

What a character he was. What a journey. From some bloke who was gonna job to Braun and be done, to getting into the WWE title picture, setting the outcome for the first ever Women's MITB and so on. He did quite a lot in a year, in truth. Good for him. Wish him the best.

I don't understand this. I bet WWE's recent Instagram posts of him getting killed attracted a lot more eyes than their usual stuff.

Guy had a good run, he’s gonna make a ton of money on the indies. Thought they’d keep him around as a comedy act though.

I expected that James would be released, but I thought he was genuinely a hard-worker. I wish WWE would've given him a backstage role if they didn't want to use him on TV.

I'm gonna miss the Big Hog. But damn, he sure took his opportunity and ran with it. From a random one-off jobber to a main event feud with AJ Styles and being Carmella's bitch.

I'm sure the dude isnt making any complaints. They brought him in as a one off jobber, Crowd got behind him and got a contract. Had a nice little stretch of being in the spotlight, Probably made more money in 1 year than he has made in his whole wrestling career. Made a name for himself in the "big league" now he can go back to the indies with more face value and excel there.

Hey, for a guy that looks like that, at that size, he got to live out his dream for one year. No shame in that. Far more than I ever got to do. Congrats to him.

I hope there is still more than one Mattel Elite action figure of him (a basic version/BattlePack). Has anyone seen the corrected "shorter legs" version of his Elite yet? I have seen two pictures of the Elite in the package that have him in a different pose, but am not sure if one is the "longer legs" and other is not, or what,
he's great so, who knows if he is just "released" as a wrestler, and will be the next GM

It's always sad to see someone lose their job, but I certainly won't miss seeing him on TV. His involvement in the women's division seriously hindered it, thanks to Vince McMahon's misogynistic booking.
Had a feeling he was going to be released though, given the send-off he was repeatedly given on the European live events.

At least Ellsworth was entertaining and got Carmella over as a heel.

Against my better judgement, I'll reply to you just this once. The point is, the first ever women's Money in the Bank match was set up quite well to be a truly historic moment. And instead Vince McMahon ruined it, simply because the thought of a man winning the first ever women's Money in the Bank match made him laugh. Not to actually do good for the women's division, in a time when they need to strive further towards equality. But just to make an old misogynist laugh.

He was on borrowed time before the ink on his contract dried.

never really cared for the guy, but i respect the fact that he was a legit fan of the business and played his character perfectly. he had a nice year with the company, something most of us could only dream about. now he'll carry on in the indies and make a crap ton of money so good for him
