Not sure if anyone has raised this recently but Bill’s most recent Q&A suggested that flashback figures will be more present in US store exclusive deals such as Target/Walmart/TRU and as a Flashbacks collector in the UK this sucks beyond belief.
We constantly get ripped off having to buy on EBay etc it’s always been tough to get hold of the US exclusives and now it seems even more Flashbacks will be staying in the US - there are some awesome Flashbacks lined up but seems we either won’t get them or will have to pay through the nose for them.
It’s even harder as a MOC collector to find EBay sellers that don’t have busted boxes.
Does anyone know if the deals Mattel make with Walmart/Target are internationally bound? We don’t have those stores here, so why do they not make it over here?? We have a TRU but we don’t get the exclusives, no Isaac Yankem and I doubt we’ll get Virgil??

One of the reason i turned into a.loose collector. Also most sellers one bay now go through the global shipping method so you'll always have to pay import fees. A pity really

UK Toys R Us gets quite a lot of the US Toys R Us exclusives. Asda sporadically gets some of the Walmart exclusives. Smyths and B&M have gotten Target exclusives, and so on.
UK stores just don't want most of them, and they'd probably lose money on them. Because of the smaller production run, exclusives are more expensive, and we don't respond well to the price tag. Look at how poorly most of the Network Exclusive figures sell.

Are you surprised?
Flashbacks have been constantly reduced at retail for 2 years. Stores dont want them this regularly.
The list of people Mattel can actually make, who anyone cares about, is probably less than 10 anyway.

Nor have I found any at B&M. Never found any at Asda either and as for the Toys R Us exclusives, yea we got the network spotlight elites but No Isaac or Virgil. This is getting very frustrating, I only buy flashbacks and now more than ever im having to resort to higher prices on the secondary market. Very unfair, we are already at a disadvantage as well when it comes to Ringside exclusives because of excess shipping and import charges. This is becoming very exepensive and I think Mattel should be doing more to help international collectors.

Smyths had Hall Of Fame series 2 and 3; B&M has the 4 Horsemen set; Asda has had various Superstar Entrances (t-shirt) figures and also had the first Basic series of the T/N/F figures - so we do get dribs and drabs. I wish it was a more regular thing (especially the HOF figures at Smyths) - but they don't seem to sell very well here (HOF and most FB Network Spotlight figures were all heavily reduced), so I can understand stores reluctance to stock them.

I wish we had the chance to get the Ringside Exclusives, guys like Edge and Punk are on my want list but I can't justify paying scalper prices for them.

Pretty much why i've stopped collecting. Its just getting ridiculous the amount of this exclusive and that exclusive. Just cant justify it anymore.
