This will only answer one of your questions,..but I did return 2 Virgils I bought online to a store so I know at least somebody has found them at retail

so far online only. as far ive seen. I haven't even seen AJ styles in stores. TJ I saw once with about a case and they never restocked. not sure is this is a trend or not.

Perhaps yes, but I don’t know for sure. Maybe they would deduct from your refund the amount of the shipping but I don’t think that’s the way it would go I got a full refund for mine |

I got mines online, at that on a good tru sale. buy 2 figures, get one free. got me a spotlight Dean for free.  I did this, to avoid crushed boxed figures.... since I wanted 2 virgils. for one moc & other the loose. its sad, I got to buy more figures to avoid the packers to send me ruin boxes. |

I might just grab mine online. I've seen TJP a few times at my TRU, but then they went away. I saw a case of AJ once, and never saw it again. I guess Mattel learned from their first few releases.

For those who have received theirs, what condition is the box in when you get them? I only ask because I keep mine in the box and I am kind-of picky about the condition. Should I go ahead and order one on-line or just wait for them to hit stores?

Yeah my Virgil was pretty beat up as well. Nothing major on mine, but lots of little creases and smudges on the plastic.

While I have debated back and forth about getting this figure, I'll give you this trick that has served me well in the past. If you are truly picky, you shouldn't mind spending a little more. Order two figures and get BOTH figures wrapped. It all but guarantees that they will send it to you inside of a box. The actual giftwrap papers will also protect it a bit. Then, return what you don't need. I have done this with the Network Spotlight Bayley, the Network Spotlight AJ Styles, and the Network Spotlight Basic Stings. All came in "pristine" condition. Not bent, no creases. The only difficult part is removing the tape. BE EXTRA CAREFUL WITH IT. |

I just got 2 from the online shop. I figured I could eventually make a custom with the boxer shorts with the second. I am guessing they won't be showing up in stores.
