4 more figures will be up tonight. Heres a preview of another future project in the works... Heres a tip...dont ever throw away extra pieces when you're mashing what you need for a custom. Having a spare Ambrose top and Lesnar bottom allowed me to put together a Bret Hart 2010.

That Hurricane looks awesome. It always bugs me when I’m trying to do one and it ends up looking like it has no neck after doing the head swap Here's a Ravven I'm starting with extra parts. Stone Cold upper body, and Lesnar lower body. I picked up a Jakks head on ebay and will design a shirt decal...

Speaking of ECW Almuni, heres another tip...a Retro Bray Wyatt makes a great Tazz with a bit if tweaking. Get yourself some foam paper from Walmart and take a pencil to draw up and cut out a shirt collar. I have all tattoo and attire decals waiting and a Tazz head coming in the mail..

A few more Retro's coming your way! But, if I could be serious for just a minute...Lance Storm. Bret "Hitman" Hart (2010 Return) D'Lo Brown

Thanks brother! I'm about 5-6 figures away from having the entire 2002 roster. Afterwards, I want to customize a Retro Ring into a WrestleMania X8 one.

So, I'm having the opposite problem with my Tito Santana. If you put his Elite head on a Retro, he looks like a giraffe. I had that issue with the Raven retro I made. An old WCW Raven head on a Samoa Joe retro body. He looked like a giraffe so I had to drill out the bottom of the head until it was opened up enough to slide down the neck portion fat enough to not look so silly. It turned out pretty good though, you have to glue the head so it doesn’t swivel after So, heres what I do when the head sits too high. I had the same problem with my Tazz which I'm working on. Use a Dremmel tool to shave down the bottom surface of the head. It actually does go down more. Also shave inside the head as well if that doesnt help. If this makes the head really loose, place a little paper towel inside the head hole and it should be more snug.

Advice of the day... When life hands you a Koko and headless Razor, you make "The Natural" Butch Reed. Im going with this color scheme as shown in my proto pic. Agree or disagree?

I also have a spare Tatanka head, so I'm thinking of using the Koko body to make the prototype?

I feel like the Yellow/Gold tights and boots were a little more iconic. However the color scheme you posted was also good.
Can you give any tips on matching skin tones when painting? Also, what type of paints do you use?
Thanks!

Really look forward to seeing both of these! I’ve started dabbling in hasbro customs...if I figure out how to post pics here I’ll share mine too.

So...been messing around with some hasbros and decided to try something different for a Harley Race (rather than the usual Duggan body). This afternoon I made a peg using a screw so that the head fits tightly and can pop on & off, mainly so that I don’t have to mold a neck! 😂 Obviously still need to paint the attire, and should probably do the head to get it to match the body skin tone better. Be interested to hear your thoughts.

Be interested to hear your thoughts. To be honest, I say to the very opposite. One of the worst mistakes I've ever made was painting faces when I didnt have to. The faces rely so much on the detail that came with the head scans. If I had that figure in my hands to work on tonight, heres what I'd do... 1. Apply grey primer to body (not head) 2. Establish a skintone paint mix as similar to the head as possible and paint the body. Add a bit of water to your flesh tone and apply several light coats to minimize that thick brush stroke look. 3. Paint the tights and boots. Let me know if I could help. I design decals and could send you the crown logo and tattoos. If they aren't in my library, I could make them no charge. Terrific start! I always hated when people went with the Duggan figure. Way too stocky and arms too jacked. I felt like Valentine was the only one that works.

Thanks for the tips mate, really appreciate you taking the time. That’s interesting to hear, as I’ve been reluctant to paint any heads for fear of ruining them. But I’ve also been reluctant to paint body’s for fear of them looking terrible - as I’ve seen some awful looking ones. But yours always look great, so I guess I’m getting help from the right place! 😂 So the key is using primer and adding water to the paint? I have a white spray primer, I think it might be humbrol - do you think that’ll be ok? I was looking back through the thread and saw that your artwork for Harley also had the clothesline action - i hadn’t recalled seeing that. So which parts would you have used?

I use a brush on primer to avoid drips or spraying errors. Also, make a good amount of your flesh paint mixture and put it in a small container with a cap on it. Then you could reapply coats a day at a time. I like to let the first one totally dry to avoid pulling the layer up with my brush. I want to say I either used the Razor legs like you. Now I'm getting motivated. I'm waiting to spot a cheap Harley on Ebay. Right now, he'd cost me $34. Seems like all of his figures are expensive!

I’ve got a bunch of custom ideas that I’m working on, just none that are finished yet. Sometimes finding the free time is a real struggle. In the mean time I figured I’d share one on the fix up side of things. I did a head swap for a more current look for AJ Styles
