I just seen online that the Z-Man has sadly passed away. I believe it said he was 59 years old. He was one of WCW's great mid card attractions, and held the US Tag Titles, Six Man Tag Titles, and the TV Title. I really liked him in the early 90s for WCW. Sad that he has passed away, especially around this time of the year.

Damn and just 59 years old. What a shame. Another underrated gem in my book.
R.I.P Tom Zenk

I just saw this on Animals Facebook too. While he was never a headliner he had a reasonable level of success in wcw and a short run with martel in wwf - which could have been a rag title run if they had stayed together as a team.
Sad to lose another one this year especially at a pretty young age like 59. Literally saw a post of names wrestling has lost during 2017 and now there's another to add. RIP Z man

59? Damn that's relatively young. He was always the proverbial mid carder who everyone loved to watch. Hard worker and talented wrestler. R.I.P Z-man!

That's a damn shame. I always really liked Z-Man. Thought he was very underrated for the time.
I remember buying colored electrical tape so I could make custom "Z's" for the back of his Galoob figure.

I'm sure Tony Schiavone is really sad!

His Galoob figure was one of the first figures I ever owned. R.I.P. Z-Man!

Slowly but surely we’re losing everyone from the greatest generation of wrestling. I mainly knew Z-Man as a kid because I had had his Galoob fig and seeing him on WCW Saturday Night or Clash of the Champions occasionally.

It's never easy for us old school fans when a wrestler from our generation passes.

It seems like he was so much older because hes been out of the limelight for so long. He left wrestling in his early 30s which is the prime of most career. I always enjoyed Zman. If theres an after life he and Pillman are certainly teaming up again.

I don't know, I think he may have been railroaded or blackballed. He had so much untapped potential. Seems like he was too nice of a guy to be in the wrestling business. And what am I missing from the Schiavone comments? Did they not get along?

Found out on the news sites that Tom Zenk passed away on the 9th. Shocked to see nobody post about this. The Z-Man was a big part of WCW for a stint and had some success in AWA and WWF with The Can-Am Connection.

OMG I can't believe this flew under my radar. I'm surprised I even missed this bit of news on my pro wrestling apps... Tom Zenk was the backbone of WCW before there were cruiserweights supporting the Monday Night Wars. This is such a travesty. I know he's no more than a mid-carder, but every company needed a Tom Zenk-type on their roster, good looking, good worker, too bad he's gone
