Tiny video game store? When did Gamestop become a Mom and Pop? Hell, I have seven different Gamestops within 10 miles of my house. I think the only thing that rivals that many different locations would be gas stations. My point is it's a video game store not toy store. And it's not a prime spot someone would shop for wrestling figures. I went into one near me and the only wwe stuff I saw was some guy from NXT, just one peg with 3 of the same guy. Don't know what line it was or anything. They're overpriced too for toys, 13 is basically online pricing. Why would someone waste the time and gas money to run around to those places to try to find them when they could get them online for the same price and not waste your time? My main point is they're not in any major retailers like TRU, Target, Walmart. 1. Gamestop is not just a video game store anymore (and hasn't been for a while now). You can buys toys, clothes, and high-end statues and import figures at a lot of locations now. 2. Why? Because Gamestop owns Thinkgeek, and a lot of Gamestops are being converted to half and half locations. 3. There are a lot of Gamestop and/or Thinkgeek locations. It's hardly wasting time and gas when there are a ton of stores to choose from. 4. If it's the same price as buying online...then it's the same price. You're not out anything. You get to pick out a paint job and a packaging quality and you don't have to wait for it to ship to your house. I get that you obviously don't shop at Gamestop, but a lot of people do, so it's not like people have to go out of their way to find them. 5. In case you haven't noticed, a LOT of WWE figures aren't at places like TRU, Target, or Walmart either. It's definitely not just the Retros.

I'm curious to see what comes of this. Especially in terms of the UPCs and their whereabouts. There's a huge gap between a proposed John Cena #2 (FML26) and the upcoming WM/SS assortment wave (FML35) in my list of possible upcoming Retros. While that leaves plenty of room for additional waves to be added, it also makes it difficult to pinpoint exactly what the final lineup will be. That is of course assuming these are all meant to be grouped together. Where do Finn Balor, Ric Flair, and Kevin Owens #2 fit in? Hopefully someone will be able to shed light on this.

GameStop doesn’t pack full sets, though. I’ve only seen 2 at each location. They also put their big giant stickers on the front of the card backs, which is annoying. I buy all of my video games off of amazon but I do frequent GS for figures/novelty items. So for me they’ve become more of a specialty store cut from the Suncoast/FYE mold.
I just want to see Amazon get them for $10-13 consistently. Target, Walmart, TRU and Amazon all getting them is what I would consider mass release. We’ve yet to really see that for this App wave outside of Amazon at inflated prices.
Given that Mattel didn’t initially have a plan for the Retros, I think we’ll see the rollout come together for this line in 2018. That’s still not going to stop me from pissing and moaning and complaining about not having a Diesel at every single given opportunity. Mattel has one job. One job.

No diesel and this line becomes a waste for me. I got them all, can't find kane yet. But they will all be traded or sold if diesel or a moon belly kamala is not done. It can't be that hard to want to make a ton of money. Ringside exclusive orange card set. Ringside exclusive diesel Why is no one jumping on this stuff, people are looking to dump the money on them. Goldberg sold out in a day on ringside... what do you think a retro diesel that looked like the released orange card sketches would bring in, sales would be crazy. Huge possibilities and profit with this line, but they arnt bringing those sweet figs. I understand that most kids won't buy. But all.adult collectors will.

That is of course assuming these are all meant to be grouped together. Where do Finn Balor, Ric Flair, and Kevin Owens #2 fit in? Hopefully someone will be able to shed light on this. Here's hoping that if they're reducing each wave to four figures that we'll get more waves spread out evenly throughout the year. That’s still not going to stop me from pissing and moaning and complaining about not having a Diesel at every single given opportunity. Mattel has one job. One job. Fair enough, but to say that Gamestop is anything but a national chain store is folly. Like you said, there was no long term plan for Retros. This wasn't supposed to go past the first set, so the fact that there have been issues with the second and third waves isn't surprising. Hopefully, logistics have been worked out going forward. And like I said before, retail still sucks this year. A lot of figures aren't showing up at a lot of places. This isn't just a Mattel issue either. It's a retail issue in general. And, the one good thing about Gamestops stickers is that they tend to peel off in one piece and don't leave any residue. That, however is one thing they're going to have to work on going forward if they're going to continue on in the collector market. One of the Gamestops near me wasn't putting stickers on collector product, and the DM pitched a fit about it and made them start doing it. Unfortunately, management at retail is almost always a few weeks behind knowing their market.

One of my good friends on a Facebook group I'm in just posted pics of Retro Rock Austin Kane and HHH he picked up in the clearance section of his Walmart in Texas area.....didn't say for how much, guessing 5-6 dollars. Really interesting to hear, that's gonna have to be my first spot to check on my next stop into my PA one.

Series 2 was such a mess in regards to distribution. Glad these are no longer Walmart exclusives.

Yeah I was able to start my collection off with Undertaker, HHH, Kane, Austin, Rock, and Mankind for $7 each. The Walmart near me had them in the regular toy section though.

It is so incredibly frustrating that the only Wal-Mart near my home or work has never stocked theses. Makes them impossible to get (I like the hunt). I’ve only found Goldberg and had a buddy pick me up a few when he’s found them in different parts of the state.

I stopped at a Wal-Mart on my way home from a trip today and they still had 2 Owens & 2 Reigns, it had been a long time since I had seen them in a store. I found a Ambrose at the Game Stop down the street from it and now I'm complete for series 3 and waiting for the new ones.

Found some retro figures in store in Tesco (UK). Never seen them before anywhere other than smyths. I wasn't able to purchase them though because when they scanned the barcode the item wasn't showing in the system. Gonna try again tomorrow

Ive never seen series 2 in stores at all. I've seen them only ONCE. A couple Austin's, a few of Rock and one Mankind. Then it dwindled to one Rock sitting with the rotting Brocks for a month. Nothing after that.

And here's the other thing...I know some of you I here have tried buying what's left of Series 1 with the hopes that Walmart will stock up on S2, but no such luck here in the SW burbs of Chicago. Once S1 was gone, the pegs were either just left empty, or the price labels for the Retro line were removed from the pegs altogether. My stores had the OPPOSITE effect lol.
