I agree with him, personally. Like he says, it seems like they're really overproducing Matt's promos, when one of the things that got this gimmick over so much in the first place was because it was so much different from the norm. It needs to have a grittier, grimy feel to it, IMO, and it seems like all they're relying on is getting the audience to pop for the "Delete" chants. What do you guys think?

I don't mind what the WWE has done so far but I definitely wouldn't mind if they gave Matt a cameraman and sent him back to his home in NC with free reign to record some vignettes that had that low budget feel of some of the TNA stuff he did. The campiness of what he did before only added to the whole Broken aura.

this is the WWE though....their entire existence nowadays is based on overproduced, scripted, attempts at perfection. they are a hollywood company, not a wrestling promotion anymore. all vince cares about is making a perfectly executed action movie every week on TV.
im just glad Matt has some character now instead of "yay we're the hardy boyz, remember us from 10 years ago?! we're cool!"

In speaking of Tazz... I would like a Tazz figure. Can we please get a Tazz figure eventually? I'd pay money for a Tazz figure.

On topic though, my only complaint so far is last week (?) while cutting from Bray to Matt everytime they would have the Woken graphic and then broken glass. Every single god damn time! Why? What is that sh**?

I agree with Taz, WWE should keep Matt Hardy's promos & backstage segments limited like The Undertaker's back in the day. Bray Wyatt kinda fell victim to being overproduced.

what does he mean overproduced? he's done 3 back stage promo's since becoming Broken/Woken 3 weeks ago? He did the table for 3, but not in his Broken/Woken gimmick....
The whole gimmick is corny and funny, its like a Sharknado film its ridiculous but it grabs your attention. I really dont see any difference between his WWE gimmick and TNA

Hey everyone wanted to see this gimmick in wwe. Be careful what you wish for... Yup. I was REALLY hoping they'd stay in the indies. I'm glad the Hardy's are getting a final run. They deserve it and they certainly deserve the big paydays but how could anyone not see that Vince was going to wipe his ass with the Broken Brilliance?

Perfectly stated. The WWE's production level as a whole is truly horrendous. They just don't know how to leave well enough alone.

There's no way they can continue for weeks with Matt alone in a bright white room. I know they do that with Bray all the time, but it will probably kill Woken Matt if he's just a bug in a jar acting crazy. He needs his whole universe to play off of. It seems like they are doing the trickle effect, peeling back little by little each week-like now with the fish Napoleon....they need to do more of it soon imo....If this is all Matt's work and planning though, I trust in him of course.

I really dont see any difference between his WWE gimmick and TNA no one has suggested that there’s been too many videos, what people mean by overproduction is that the videos have been worked on extensively by wwe video editors and as a result have lost their sense of originality.

I dont normally find myself agreeing with Taz, but on this one I do. Woken is nowhere NEAR as good as Broken.

I agree to some degree. It’s a little too shiny so far but I really liked the most recent one and the first one was pretty perfect. WWE was always going to give us the corporate version. Sort of like Disney giving us Star Wars. WWE does things the WWE way and we either take what we can get or dwell on the original. I’m happy to have the character on WWE TV because I think it’s infinitly better than anything else Matt has done as a single in WWE.

Production values is pretty much what sets WWE apart from all other companies. A lot of times it is a good thing, but overpricing has been a growing problem in WWE for a while now. It’s more about the brand and marketing machine than the product.
