I’ve gotten several figures in the last year that seem to use a weaker plastic. My Revival bp, Bobby Roode basic, and others had pieces of plastic shave off or become stressed after only rotating a shoulder. Like the socket is harder and cuts the shoulder piece.
Getting harder and harder to spend any money on these. I know it’s retailers bs, but I’d much rather pay more and get what we’re used to quality wise instead of pay the same and get worse product. Even though we end up paying more anyways...

The only figures I have seen with weaker plastic was the U can’t C Knee Rollins in the BP with the Cena. (Or any figure from that period where they were hiding the knee pins) because the legs (thighs) seemed to be hollow. Thankfully they seemed to switch that back to the unbidden knee pins rather quickly.

I noticed something like this with my RSC DX Shawn Michaels. Especially around the shoulder joints.
Thought I might accidently break it by rotating but it was fine.

I just thought this last night. Opened my HOF 5 Roberts and the lower half feels like the cheaper plastic they use for accessories.

I’ve at least one figure from the last four sets not be able to rotate the shoulder. Def thinking about calling it quits.

Until you get that sweet, sweet soy bean oil leaching from the plastic, turning everything powdery white, and you CAN’T. WIPE. IT. OFF.

I have like 8 twenty gallon storage tubs of Jakks figures. I get sad when I look at them and arms are either super loose of have just fallen off. CM Punk ECW series 1 was patient zero, he started this out break. It's like 90 percent of them have loose arm's. That's why I started collecting Mattel. I tried to stop with Jakks haha. Didn't work out that well. I thought Mattel's were immune to the arms falling off disease but now Umaga has a super loose arm.

I've had no issue, except with DM Warrior but I think that was 2016

I've had 2 Y2Js (List and DM) with messed up left shoulders and a Scott Dawson as well.

I just checked some of my newer figures and I honestly can't notice a difference.

Not so much stuck shoulders as the plastic is brittle and chips from rotating it. It’s a bit hard to make out from pics but here’s what I’m talking about. It just sucks because I’ve only noticed it in the last year or so. And this isn’t like excess plastic “skin tags” it’s just chipping and stressing the regular areas

Collected MOC for over 15 years, never heard of this 🤷🏻♂️ It happens from time to time. I know it happens with Mattel products. The classic example is DC Universe Classics Wave 3, but I’ve seen it on MOTUC and Movie Masters.

Im trying to figure out the deal with them painting the shoulder balls now? I just got my HOF Diesel in the mail and the head, torso, shoulders and arms are all 4 different colors.

I've had this problem with the shoulder joint on my E45 Rollins. It was like frozen in place, I managed to get it unstuck but now it's really loose.

I’m not talking about stuck shoulders. I’m talking about the plastic being sliced, stressed and chipped from minimal movement. The shoulders rotate, but the plastic scrapes up super easy.
