This question is kind of silly. If you think society has regressed you must be focusing in on one or two things you don't agree with.
Society has progressed. No one's life is in danger for who they are. In a time of bowler hats, certain people murdered just because of who they were.
You want to mention people writing, fine, let's look at that. You just created a thread that people from all over the world have an opportunity to read, reply, and share. You could not do this in the time period you are romanticising.

Of course society has progressed, it's just progressed more in some areas than others. Free speech, the decline in racism (it still exists unfortunately, but it's not as frivolent as it once was) and the right to vote are all proof of this.
I feel like there's a special place in purgatory for people who shout "Snowflake! The world has gone soft!" at any opportunity they get. It always seems like they're the most sensitive when they get called out on their bullcrap. Society has progressed because people have the balls to call other people out on their crap now. That's a hell of a lot "tougher" than just laughing it off like in the "good old days"

I think society has definately mentally regressed. I can't even describe the amount of ways it has.
I'd just love to go back in time to somewhere like the 1950s and grow up from there. And yes, I know times in the past had their problems with things like lots of racism and sexism but i'm a white, English male so it wouldn't affect me.

So we're all in agreement that the downfall of America has come from the "make love not war, hippie pot smoking" baby boomers & the soft & sensitive millennials? And a corrupt welfare system? Cause thats what its sounding like to me. I'm genuinely ashamed to be in the current generation at times (and being a millenial).

People who state "statistically the ____rate is up or down" need to start providing sources.

I'm genuinely ashamed to be in the current generation at times (and being a millenial). Nearly every things she describes as being wrong with this generation is what has been said has been wrong with every generation before it. This is an entitled girl who looks to be reading a script and trying to get a job at Fox News by claiming the young people are to blame for everything. The youth of every generation has been said to be disrespectful and listen to bad music. The young are always called lazy and entitled this isn't anything new.

So.. from what I've gathered from the responses here are that the older generation doesn't like the younger generation. And they think this is a new phenomenon.
I hate all of you.
