Ive seen these at TRU, and yes, they were just clumped in with the Basics and Elites. I would figure they'd go in the "Barbie" aisle. Do I think they'll be a problem? No. I do think they will fail, though.

Seeing so many guys angry that dolls aimed towards girls are stocked in with their dolls, is hilarious.

I don't think they will hurt sales directly but hurt the WWE mattel line over all. They aren't being placed properly and are taking up space. The line SHOULD be used to get little girls into WWE, the dolls should be in the girls aisle banking on little girls who have zero clue what WWE is, buying them because they are pretty and maybe they will get curious about the figures origins. But them being placed in the boys/WWE section almost guarantees their failure as the little girl who likes WWE market is small enough as it is but putting them in a section that your small market will more than likely never go to is begging for failure.
Even worse is when these dolls warm shelves and don't move it won't be viewed as these dolls not moving to the retailers it'll be these WWE toys that aren't moving.

I’m not sure if they will hurt sales, but they’ve kind of screwed up distribution of other things. Since these popped up I’ve noticed a lot of Toys R Us hasn’t really gotten in more than one series of basics and one regular set of Elites. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t even go hunting anymore. I just order online, which has been a bummer because hunting can be fun as hell. Seeing as they are completely different items, I highly doubt they messed with distribution. Might just be the store not ordering as many Not the case locally. The dolls and their accessories have been consistently shifted between endcap and shelf space. It’s almost like they don’t know where to put them.

1. If you voted yes, you're an idiot.
2. That statement about He-Man toys and boys not liking girls playing with them says more about our society and gender roles than I ever could

I asked my 12 year old daughter's opinion of these while browsing a Toys R Us. She flat out disliked them. I'm actually curious about how well these sell. I think 12 is too old and not the target market for these. More like 6-10 I’d say. My 6 year old loves them especially the smaller ones I encourage my daughter to "not grow up too fast" and she embraces it, especially since I'm a big kid with a massive collection. She has a huge collection of her own in monster high dolls and still plays with them quite often. Maybe at her age the wwe ones seem cheesy.

Although mine who is 6 going on 16 at times often scowls at “baby Toys”.

🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
I like them for one. I’d rather drop $20 on them, maybe even more, rather than a female Elite figure.

My mom likes total divas so she got the package with like 5 or 6 of them in it.
Honestly I just see them as a different toy, if it's not an elite I just skip over that section to find elites. Don't bother me at all seeing them.
It would be interesting to hear how well they sell. I think wrestling figures mainly sell great because of resellers and kid and adult collectors. Plus your average kid who just plays with them. But I can't see the same for the diva dolls

They don't seem to sell at all. Why are they stocked in the boys section? Is the idea really that boys will buy them?

It’s not 1983 anymore. Boys and girls share a lot of the same interests these days. If anything, I think the dolls could help the figure line. You get girls buying the dolls and some of them will likely also buy figures.
I know a bunch of girls who weren’t into wrestling at all, then they watched Total Divas and started watching wrestling to see the women from the show. Then they got into wrestling in general a bit.
I remember one of my coworkers telling me she started watching RAW or Smackdown when she was bored at home. Also my cousin asked to go to a few shows with me because Total Divas got her into wrestling.
So I think the dolls could have the same effect.

Yeah, sadly this should have been predictable to some degree. The 3 Toys R Us that I visit had the women's end caps, and those things sat pretty full most of December. When Toys R Us decides to put something else on that end cap, these dolls have to go somewhere, and here they are.

Nah. I will stick to the regular figures and I think most collectors will. If anything I think it would introduce girls to buy WWE toys.

Aside from when I go to tru and see them clogging the whole wwe section, I forget they exist and Im not the demographic anyway. It isnt a big enough deal to me to attack someones man/woman-hood over it. The toys that made us is an awesome show though.
