With a little tweaking, who could have fit well into another generation? For example, I think CM Punk would have been quite successful in the Attitude Era due to his vicious mic skills and personality.
Hopefully this can be a fun thread.

Clicked on this thread literally to say that Ambrose and Punk would've worked well in the Attitude Era haha. I'd have loved to have seen Punk on SmackDown in the RA era against Angle, Edge, Jericho, Lesnar, Eddie etc as well.

Roddy Piper would work well in literally any era.

I think Luke Harper and Rusev would have fit the 80s. Harper for his look and Rusev as an anti-American heel.

Randy Orton, especially now, would've been great in the territory days. Minus the tattoos, I suppose. But his style matches up perfectly.

Braun Strowman would fit in any era. If he were his current age back in the early to mid 90’s, he’d be a multiple time world champion and main eventing every PPV

At their peaks Roddy Piper, Bret Hart, Randy Savage, and HBK could have worked in any era for any company.
Braun Strowman would have been a natural fit in the mid to late 80s WWF when Hogan was facing a parade of big men. He would have been a nice character to transition from the cartoonish 80s to the New Gen and then into the Attitude Era. Could you imagine Braun vs Vader? I can. It makes me smile.
Cesaro would be great in the 80s NWA. He's the modern day Barry Windham.

Hurricane in the early 90s late 80s WWF. King Barret mid 90s WWF (him vs. Bulldog/Heart Foundation).

Braun Strowman would've definitely fit in 80s WWF. He could've been one of those monster heels who challenged Hogan for the belt.

AJ Styles in the new generation era. He would’ve meshed great with the likes of HBK and Hart.

Jinder Mahal would have been the biggest heel in the 70s and 80s. Would have had one of those great heel managers like the Grand Wizard or Freddie Blassie. He had that athletic build that the promoters started to love in the 80s and he can talk so he would have been great against Hogan for sure.

Attitude Era-
- Ambrose would would have fit really well into the hardcore style of the late 90s. He would have been perfect in the WWF with Mick Foley, Steve Blackman, Kane etc and the posibilities in ECW would have been endless.
- Punk like I said in the originial post. I also think he could have fit well into the New Generation Era and had great matches with Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon & Owen Hart.
- Braun Strowman. He can wrestle a great hardcore style, looks like a monster and I think he could have been a bit like Kane in the Attitude Era.
Golden Era-
- Ryback. He has big muscles and was colourful. If he was around in the 80s I think he would have had some big matches against Andre & Warrior.
- Braun Strowman. Like some others said, he would have been a great monster heel to go up against Hogan.
- John Cena. Although he would clash with Hogan for top spot, if Hogan didn't exist, Cena would be the natural replacement due to their similarities to get over, their use of theatrics, appeal as a role model to children etc.

I also think that a lot of WCW's cruiserweight division (Malenko, Guerrero, Benoit, Liger etc) would have been perfect in today's wrestling scene whether it be in WWE or on the independet circuit. Dynamite Kid & Tiger Mask too.

AJ Styles now would've been great in the 2002-2005 Ruthless Aggression era.
