I really like the rock'n'roll music style of the mid 50s to early 60s. Anyone else?

I like some Beatles and Rolling Stones stuff. Most of what I like is 80’s and 90’s Rock, but I’m also a big fan of 60’s and 70’s Rock.

You could say that, yes.
Stones, Hendrix, Cream/Clapton. I'd say I'm a bigger fan of '70s-'90s, but there's still some great, great stuff from the '60s.

The late 50s was an incredible time period for rock. I remember the first time i heard Chuck Berry or Bill Haley and being blown away that they were doing that stuff in the 50s on guitar while some musicians today either go all out and do too much or can't really write a good lick. It was a fine balance. You had Elvis and Jerry Lee doing kind of rockabilly for a little while. It was great stuff.

Chuck Berry is one of my favourites and 'Johnny B Goode' in my opinion was probably his best song. 4 Seasons also did some good songs in the early 60s too like Sherry, Walk Like A Man etc. Also liked Buddy Holly & The Crickets, Ritchie Valens, The Coasters & Little Richard from that era.

I like everything from Bill Haley to Ritchie Valens. Incredible era.
Dion and the Belmonts, Elvis, Jerry Lee, all good stuff.
I'm a bigger Doo Wop fan, but early Rock N Roll was the best.

Rock and roll music? Never heard of it [/sarcasm] Never said if anyone had heard of it because obviously everyone has. I asked if anyone here likes that type of music. Your sarcasm doesn't make sense, really.

I don't mind doo-wop either. Don't know too many songs from that style but i've heard Sh-Boom - The Chords and Why Do Fools Fall In Love- Frankie Lymon & Teenagers and like both those songs.

I guess not everyone will get sarcasm. Its cool you'll get it one day. I didn't respond with an angry comment, so not too sure why you are telling me to chill. I think everyone else does get sarcasm, its you who doesn't. So please, explain how your use of sarcasm fits in with what I said and the dictionary definition of sarcasm.

i LIKE THE rock 'n rolla music too.
I like '50s/'60s tunes quite a bit. Some earlier blues w/ rock roots too. I really like girl groups from that 50s-60s era. The Shangri-Las are my fav. I like surf-rock from 'round then, like the Ventures. Buddy Holly was great for the little stuff out there in good format. I like Dylan (and consider him r'n'r even though it borders on folk). The Animals, Neil Young + Crazy Horse. Bo Diddley, Chubby Checker... (backtracking a bit). Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground, John Cale, T-rex; Marc Bolan, New York Dolls, Rocket From the Tombs, Peter Laughner, Dead Boys, Iggy Pop & the Stooges, Mc5, Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers (any Johnny Thunders stuff), Blondie, Husker Du, The Replacements, Patti Palladin, GG Allin, The Plasmatics, Kinghorse, Squirrel Bait, Shellac, Nirvana, Oasis, Roky Erickson, The Libertines...those are some of my favorites from decade-to-decade.
