Just saw The Secret Life of Pets 2 with my kiddo this afternoon. Funny movie. We both enjoyed it. Kevin Hart’s character is hilarious!

I purchased Total Recall and Salt steelbooks to trade with someone for the Blade Runner 2049 steelbook(the non 4k one) but the guy ended up backing out of the trade. So now I have Total Recall and Salt steelbooks. I'll probably just return them.

I went to Barnes & Noble for their Criterion Collection 50% off sale and bought Night on Earth, The Princess Bride, Stranger Than Paradise, and To Sleep with Anger on Blu-ray.
I also went to Best Buy and bought E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit on Blu-ray.

I went to Barnes & Noble for their Criterion Collection 50% off sale and bought Night on Earth, The Princess Bride, Stranger Than Paradise, and To Sleep with Anger on Blu-ray. I also went to Best Buy and bought E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit on Blu-ray. I wish my Barnes & Noble was worth going to for movies. The closest one got rid of most the media department after remodel. I did do a lot of damage on the 40% off with the instore ship to home trick though. |

It’s sad that so many places are getting rid of their movie sections, not realizing that they’re still in high demand. The problem with Barnes & Noble is that their movies are overpriced. They’re only worth purchasing when they’re on sale. The problem with other stores is that they only cater to mainstream audiences. I would kill to be able to walk into a store and find the new Jean-Pierre Melville Blu-ray’s that came out today, instead of having to order them from Amazon. |

I went back to Barnes & Noble for my second haul of the Criterion sale. I bought Blue Velvet, A Face in the Crowd, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Heiress, Police Story / Police Story 2, Swing Time, and War and Peace all on Blu-ray.

Does anybody know what sort of DVD promotion Amazon is running lately? I've bought Captain Marvel, season 3a of Attack on Titan (preorder), and Hunter x Hunter Vol. 5 and 6 (preorder) the past week or two and was able to get $3-$7 off of each. Said the details weren't available on the site.
