Anyone see this episode?
Pretty tragic state he’s in these days but funny that he’d tried to pay off his friend with 205 wrestling figures.
Interestingly he said that 200 were Jakks Pacific and worth $10 a piece but that 5 were rare and worth $750 each. When he pulled one out it was a standard hasbro Berzerker.
Not sure if they just used this for the show or whether he’d got it completely wrong. I was wondering if maybe he’d ended up with prototypes of his figure though as this would explain the value.
Anyway his friend sold them all for $350 so if they were then someone got a steal

Did the judge say the figure he was holding in his hands (WWF Hasbro Berzerker figure) at the end was worth $1700? Was that a prototype or something?

His AWA Remco figures could definitely fetch $750.00 if they were in mint condition. All the series 4 figures from that line still go for crazy amounts. Shame to see him fall on hard times though; pretty bad when you have to have someone else open a credit card for you.

It seems to me that the five 750 he was talking about were probably moc bezerker toys he probably purchased as an ego thing when they came out as he stint in the big leagues wasn't very long and most people would drop 30 dollars on some toys that were made of themselves. Obviously he's been told they were worth 750 and I've got one I'll let go for 700 if anyone wants
Ultimately this is yet another example of a former pro wrestler incapable of living in the real world. It's so sad

How's he gonna say his name was the barbarian ffs, it was him man haha Most of his career he wrestled as Nord the Barbarian, it was only the 2 years he was in the WWF that he wrestled as the Berzerker. That's probably why he called himself the Barbarian.

Unless this show is predetermined, the judge would be a fool to go by what Nord said about the figure price. Sadly, John Nord seems very confused. Though at least he is pretty spot on about his run in WWF and he wasn't egotistical or delusional about it. Maybe also confused about the timing of the Berzerker figure (25 years not 35) and I'm thinking some fan probably showed him someone's nutty ebay buy it now price of $750 for a Berzerker Hasbro or it could've been a prototype but a loose one is probably worth 7 dollars and 50 cents. He's in his late 50s, he should be able to enjoy his life and hopefully he is in full recovery but if not I hope a wrestler who is alright can reach out to him and provide him some emotional or mental or physical support.

Maaaaaan prices were all off on these lol. I’m thinking that possibly he was referring to the AWA Barbarian doll and maybe used the Hasbro just as a representation? Who knows. She really shouldn’t have accepted the figures as “payment.” She would have gotten all her money if she’d have not taken them. That’s what ya get for accepting goods as a payment. There’s no way I’d have taken them with no idea of the secondary market price.

Cause think about this, he gave the $750 one to her. She in turn sold it. So whatever figure it was is now out of his possession. I think the Hasbro one was just a stand in for the show. Possibly even provided by the show! In that case, they wouldn’t spend the amount for an AWA Remco Barbarian. I got my loose Hasbro Barbarian for $3 at a flea market. So that is a lot more plausible. Just a theory.

Sounded like he had 5 or so worth $750 each? and around 20 Jakks ones Think he said Jakks ones were only wroth $10 or so (IMO they are worth more, as it;s one of the best Jakks CS they ever made) Whoever bought all the figures for just over $300 from that woman, conned her.

Yeah that was shady of whoever bought them off her. If you’re a true wrestling figure collector, you know a general idea of what the last series Remcos bring in. I can pinpoint an exact price but I know loose they are in the $$$ area and MOC prices are just tragic lol. All I can say is, I hope whoever bought them is KEEPING THEM! I’ve always believed that it’s not really too bad to under pay if you collect. But underpay is a serious under statement if the 5 or so he had were really AWA Remco. But hey, she accepted them as a payment. She really shouldn’t have. Like why would you knowing you couldn’t possibly sell them in time to make a payment. She admitted that she didn’t do eBay ect. Anyway, it’s sad to see the poor guy in this situation. He is a colorful character that many of us can’t forget. Hopefully he got some cash flow with that Elite that came out last year!
