Everybody hates them. People are told not to post spoilers yet still do it, even though there’s a spoiler board RIGHT THERE. There were three threads made in less then an hour asking for figures from the Royal Rumble, one in particular spoiling a surprise entrant with a clickbait title. These threads do nothing but clog up the Mattel board and piss people off. That goes for the “when will we get a figure of this guy who just showed up in the NXT crowd?” threads. Stop it. You know when you’re getting the figure. The only way people will stop at this point is if it comes with a warning bar.

Eh. Watch it live or stay off the internet until you do.

Once it airs its no longer a spoiler. This has only been going on since the start of the internet. You should know by now (or at least common sense should tell you) if there's an event going on and you're not watching it, dont get online because people are going to be talking about it.

The best thing I heard to combat this was Chicago telling me his idea of making an "Official 2018 XXX Attire Thread" a week or few days before each PPV. This will give the childrens the thread they want to ask questions and then also allow people to post photos as reference and can be filled with spoilers, but mostly give the childrens a contained place with a good and clear thread title where they can have 5 pages asking "will we get this attire?" This will give both sides what they want, a place to fully discuss the event, and a contained placed where people who don't want to see it don't have to be bothered to go into a thread. Alex, it gets my vote.

I agree completely that this thread should happen, but I can also already see the "This is too important to be "lost" in the Official 2018 XXX Attire Thread" posts and the "I didn't see the pinned thread with a billion views and responses" posts.

The only problem is some nitwit will still click the thread cause its in the Mattel board and not the Spoiler board then make a thread complaining because of their own stupidity and we'll be right back to square one.

If you're not wanting a show spoiled then coming on a wrestling forum isn't exactly a wise idea. At the same time though, these attire threads being made minutes after said attire has made its debut need one official thread.

It depends on the "spoiler"....there are STILL people on the board TODAY who are complaining about having the Royal Rumble spoiled for them.
I wanna be like "bruh, it was THREE DAYS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
To me, if an event is LIVE and people wanna discuss it as it's happening and after it's over....if you haven't seen it yet, stay off the boards.
If I haven't seen Starrcade 97 yet (I have, this is just an example) does the whole word have to wait until I have time? That's not fair and it's tough sh*t on me, in my opinion.
To me, it's only a "spoiler" if you post the results of a TAPED SHOW. Even rumors about live shows are just RUMORS. People bitched that people were posting "spoilers" about Undertaker appearing at Royal Rumble....welllllll, it didn't happen did it? NAH.
In conclusion (lol), to me, it's only a spoiler if you post results of a TAPED SHOW because everything is PROVEN to have happened. Talking about live shows after they happen is not a spoiler because it's over and anybody who hasn't seen it yet should be smart enough to stay off a message board, and RUMORS are just that; RUMORS.

Personally, I think that if it's within 24 hours of a PPV, then people should refrain from posting threads with spoilers in the thread title. Creating a thread containing spoilers, but with the thread title spoiler-free, is totally fine, given that a spoiler warning is given in the title.
I see the argument "stay off the internet then!" as just a bad attitude to have. Why shouldn't people be encouraged to have consideration for others? Why accept selfish attitudes?
The problem is that timezones get in the way of watching it live. In the UK PPVs start at 12 and end at 4AM. It's a very rare exception that I'd watch a PPV live, and mostly am content to wait till the following day. Why should I be forced to stay off the internet, just because I don't live in America? If people had just a little consideration for others, this wouldn't be a problem.
A couple additional points that I usually have to make to people who don't quite understand why it's an issue:
- Simply avoiding the WWE section is not enough. The latest thread to have been posted in is shown before entering the WWE board. If that thread title has spoilers in, then it's been spoiled without even having to even enter the WWE board. - Some people seem to misinterpret "spoilers" purely as something that has not been broadcast on TV. That's only one kind of spoiler. If I don't know something, that's a spoiler to me, regardless of how long ago it was broadcast. It's amazing the amount of people who can't seem to grasp the concept, and seem to think that spoilers are a WF invention.
The point is, is it really too much to ask for to take a second to consider other people, and simply wait a day? If you can't wait that long, there are other days to discuss recently broadcast material without spoiling it for others who've not yet had the time, as I outlined at the start of my post.

Do you think that everyone in the world should wait until Tuesday to discuss the SuperBowl just to make sure everyone is caught up? Just throwing out a hypothetical question to you.

Honestly, I'm sick of hearing about both sides of it.
If you can't watch live and spoilers will be the death of you (for whatever reason- I personally don't get it but whatever. You can still enjoy something even if you know how it ends. Does nobody watch the same movie twice?), then it's probably in your best interest to steer clear of places where it's going to be talked about until you can watch it.
If you've watched it live, then have a modicum of respect for those who couldn't watch it at the same time. Put up spoiler tags or talk about spoilers in the discussion thread. Don't start a new thread for every new color pair of pants for God's sake.
This whole thing of "I need to be the one who starts the discussion" is for third graders. Nobody is getting paid by the post here. Talk about the returns and new outfits in the thread for the show it took place on.
If everyone works together...everyone wins. *gasp*

Since most new things happen on PPVs, it will likely be limited to official threads for PPVs only on the Mattel board. If you don't want anything to be spoiled for you, then you'll want to avoid these threads. However, if you're looking to discuss possible future figure attires based on that night's event, or you want to share photos for future reference, then this could be the thread for you. The plan would be for these threads to start out on the Mattel board then migrate to the Suggestion Box (sub-board) about a week later. By the way, @heroesandmartyrs deserves all of the credit for HIS idea.

Any threads that pop up outside of those two get deleted or merged. I'll sit back and wait for the cries of the mods being power mad or stifling conversation because I'm sure they're coming. Oh, or the ones about how now people are going to have to click through the thread to find pictures and waste ALL that time.
