No, the gimmick was presented seriously, in classic "so bad it's good" fashion. Like The Room. In WWE, it's just bad. My issue is it's so over produced. It's hard to present a gimmick as a guy losing his mind when it's so very clear production is in on it. At least in TNA it was treated like he was doing all of that himself. That's another huge part of it. Everything in WWE is so damn crisp, clean, and sterile. Broken Matt needs to be nitty, gritty, and low-budget. Like a b-level horror movie. |
