WrestleMania XX 
Your Hosts- JR/King (Raw) and Michael Cole/Tazz (Smackdown)
Big Show vs John Cena for the WWE US Title- Cena's 1st Mania here and he's over like rover as this was during his rapper days. Hot crowd aside this match wasn't very good at all. Finish comes when Cena hits Show with brass knuckles with him then following up with his signature FU. Cena's 1st big moment in the company and you could tell he was being groomed for the World Title which would come a year later.
Booker T/RVD vs Dudley Boyz vs Garrison Cade/Mark Jindrak vs La Resistance for the Raw Tag Titles- The tag division around this time was weak as you can tell with some of the teams in this match.Short match here that doesn't quite reach 8 minutes with Booker/RVD retaining the belts after Booker hits an axe kick on Rob Conway leading to RVD hitting em with his signature 5 star frog splash.This felt more like a Raw match than a Mania Match.
Next up we see Coach looking for Taker when he runs into none other than...Bobby Heenan and Mean Gene! I marked out big time when I saw this live. The segments ends with Moolah and Mae Young pulling them both back into a small room for God knows what. Classic segment here.
Christian vs Chris Jericho- Big feud from the time period as this all stems from who could sleep with Trish Stratus first. Man how times have changed. Best match of the night so far as these two blended well together to give us a good match in the process. Finish comes when Trish comes down and ''accidently'' elbows Y2J in the face leading to Captain Charisma rolling him up for the win. Trish turns heel post match by slapping Jericho leading to Christian hitting his unprettier. Christian and Trish then proceed to make out on the stage.Again good match here with a good swerve ending.
Evolution(Ric Flair,Batista and Randy Orton vs The Rock N Sock Connection in a Handicap match-The big feud here was Foley/Orton as just months earlier Orton spat in his face and on top of that punted him down a flight of stairs. Great match here as all guys played their part to a T. Best spot of the match to me was when Flair was attempting a peoples elbow on Rock in classic Flair fashion only for Rock to pop up, spinebuster, and hit his own signature peoples elbow. Finish comes when Foley as Orton set up for Mr. Socko only for Orton to RKO em for the win. This match would lead to the classic hardcore match the following month at Backlash in which we would see the return of Cactus Jack. Good stuff here with Foley getting to have that last match in MSG even though he lost.
Next up is the HOF segment. Great class this year as this was when the WWE brought it back after 8 years. Bobby Heenan being the obvious highlight for me.
Sable/Torrie Wilson vs Miss Jackie/Stacy Keibler- Just a breather match for fans here. All ladies looked good but that's all I can say positive about the match. Torrie rolls up Jackie for the pin. Damn Torrie has always been one fine looking woman!
Cruiserweight open for the CW Title- This is pretty much a gauntlet match.Ultimo Dragon and Shannon Moore start us off. I almost forgot about Ultimo Dragons brief stint in WWE. Dragon with an Asai DDT puts away Mr. Moore.Jamie Noble is out next. Noble puts Drago away by submission with a guillotine choke. Funaki comes in right away and goes for a crossbody in which Noble then turns it around for the pin. Yep this match is clearly being rushed. Nunzio aka Little Guido is out next. Noble with a big dive unto Nunzio on the floors leads to Nunzio being counted out. Kidman is out next. Noble's time is up as Kidman hits em with a big BK Bomb from the top in always a cool looking spot.Rey Rey is out next and we got a little WCW reunion going on here now.Rey puts way the Allentown native with a super sunset flip. Tajiri is out next. We get the great Tarantula spot right out of the gate but Rey counters it into a 619. Rey rolls him for the pin not long after. We are down to Rey and champ Chavo Guerrero. Before Tajiri leaves he kicks Rey in the head leading to a very close near fall for the champ.Finish comes when Chavo blocks a sunset flip thanks to help from his dad Chavo Sr. for the pin. This match had potential but the rushing of it hurt it quite a bit.
Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar with Steve Austin as ref- Yep we are at this dreadful match. This feud started at the Rumble where Brock F5ed Goldberg during the Rumble match. This ''match'' is mostly lock up, stare down,shoulder tackle repeat. The fans give it hell too and rightfully so.Finish comes when Goldberg spears and jackhammers him for the win. Post match Stuns both of em right out the company in the only entertaining part of this whole thing. GOD AWFUL.
Rikishi/Scotty 2 Hotty vs APA vs Bashams vs Worlds Greatest Tag team for the Smackdown Tag Titles- All filler here as like the Raw side the SD side tag wise wasn't that good either.Finish comes when Rikishi hits a sit down splash on Danny Basham's chest. Again all filler here.
Victoria vs Molly Holly in a Title vs Hair match-Another short match here but not bad. Victoria retains after Molly tries to steal Victoria's move the Widows Peak only for her to reverse it into a backslide for the win. Post match Molly gets all her hair shaved off. Big props to Molly for going through with this angle.
Eddie Guerrero vs Kurt Angle for the WWE Title- This feud started when Angle attacked Eddie not long after he won it at No Way Out. Angle was pissed that a ''former drug addict'' is World Champ. Pretty basic build but Angle was so good in the heel role during this period.Outstanding match here as this was a technical fans dream right here. It felt like Eddie/Dean from the ECW days. Finish comes when Angle has Eddie in the ankle lock only for Eddie's boot to come off leading to Eddie rolling him up in a small package. Classic Eddie finish there. This is definitely my fav Eddie match from his WWE career. Just great all around technical match with a great finish.
Kane vs Undertaker-This feud stems from SSeries when Kane ''buried'' Taker during his buried alive match with Vinny Mac. I remember the hype for this match with all the teases that the Deadman would be coming back. I was happy about that as I never liked the ABA character. We get the full classic entrance here complete with druids and the return of Paul Bearer! The match itself was bad but that wasn't the point here. This was all about the return of Deadman Taker in MSG after 5 years. For that this match gets a pass in my book. Taker with the easy win after a little over 7 minutes with the Tombstone. Man did it feel good to see this Taker back.
Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Title-This was originally going to be just HHH vs Benoit but not long after the Rumble HBK signed his name on the contract so that leads us here. One of my fav triple threat matches in history with all guys getting to showcase.Big spot of the match comes when HBK/HHH double suplex Benoit through the announce table.Finish comes when Benoit has a bloody HHH in the crippler crossface for the tap put and title. There was no other option than Benoit winning the belt here and that's what we got here. I also gotta give props to JR on commentary as his emotion really sold us on Benoit's career coming full circle by getting the big one. Post match Eddie and Benoit's family come in for the big celebration which sadly will never be shown again. Pyro and confetti close us out.
Final Thoughts- Very strong Mania here. Many more postives than negatives with the handicap match,Return of the Deadman, and 2 World title matches being the standouts. It's over 4 and half hours long but it's still worth the watch.Verdict-Recommended
Next time on the Classic Reviews we'll head to Orlando for Royal Rumble 1990!!

I attended WM 20. It was the first one I attended. I went to 29 and will be going to 35. Anyway, I mostly enjoyed the show too. The playboy tag match was no 5 star classic, but all the women looked great especially Torrie. The world title matches were the highlights of the show. At this time Benoit was my favorite wrestler so I was so happy to be there when he won the big one and that moment with he and Eddie at the end... awesome! Who knew the terrible things he would do three years later that pretty much negate this!

Royal Rumble 1990 
Your Hosts-Tony Schiavone and Jesse Ventura
Bushwhackers vs Fabulous Rougeau Brothers- This is the last hurrah for the Rougeaus as Raymond would retire right after this and Jacques would go on hiatus until late in the year in which he became The Mountie(Check out his Retrospective!) Typical Whackers comedy match here.Finish comes when the Whackers hit Raymond with their signature battering ram. The problem I have with the match is the length as it was nearly 15 minutes long. Wayyyyyyy too long for a match like this.After this Bushwhackers would go on and feud with Rhythm and Blues. In closing I gotta say....I'll miss hearing ''All American Boys'' 
Brutus Beefcake vs The Genius- Genius around this time was getting a minor push as a few months prior he defeated Hulk Hogan on SNME by countout. Beefcake was over like rover here. Not a very good match here but it's a Genius match so gotta expect it. Finish comes when Beefcake has Genius in the Sleeper and is about to cut if hair when Mr. Perfect comes out for the DQ. This would set up their match at WM VI with Genius not getting so lucky on a haircut.Post match both Perfect and Genius double team Brut-I with a chair. Again bad match here but the crowd was hot so points there.
Greg Valentine vs Ronnie Garvin in a Submission match-This feud started the previous Spring when Valentine beat Garvin in a career vs career match. From there Garvin would be used as a ref and ring announcer but at the same time would still give Hammer a hard time. You Humanoids know I cant stand Ronnie Garvin but this match actually isn't bad.Like the 1st match the length hurts it a bit but still not bad. The thing that annoyed me then and still annoys me to this day is that at times during the match both guys try for PINS in a submission match.Finish comes when Garvin hits Hammer with a shin guard allowing him to then put em in the sharpshooter(called reverse figure four here) for the win. Definitely my favorite Garvin match but that ain't saying much.
Next up is a Brother Love Show segment with Queen Sherri and Sapphire as his guests. Just filler here to establish the new feud between Macho King and Dusty Rhodes that would run for a good seven months. Segment ends with Dusty clearing the heels from the ring.
Big Boss Man vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan- Just a match thrown in here with not much build. Basic brawl between two guys who know all about it. Finish comes when Boss man hits Duggan with the nightstick leading to a DQ. Not long after this Boss Man would turn babyface on a Brother Love Show after refusing Ted DiBiase's money for retrieving Jake Roberts snake.
Intermission time as we get classic promos from all the top guys in the Rumble match. These never get old.
Royal Rumble Match- My 2nd favorite Rumble match behind 92. So star studded here. You have guys like Hogan,Warrior,Savage,Dusty,Andre,Jake Roberts,$ Man,Piper, Snuka,Perfect,Rude, Demolition etc I can go on and on.Some of the highlights include Ted DiBiase entering at number 1 and run to almost the end until he gets eliminated by Warrior,the kickoff to the infamous feud between Piper/BNB,and the big tease for WM VI with Hogan and Warrior having the staredown. It comes down to Hogan and Mr. Perfect as the final two with Hogan getting the win after launching Perfect into the post(Great selling as usual from Hennig) with a clothesline to the floor for the win. This is a MUST SEE Rumble Humanoids as like I said it's star studded with a hot crowd to boot. All around good stuff here. Hogan does his typical posing to close us out.
Final Thoughts- The undercard is week but the Rumble itself definitely makes up for it. I can't stress enough how great this particular Rumble match is. To me it gives 92 a run for it's money. For that I'd say give this event a watch BROTHER!!.Verdict-Recommended.
Next time on the Classic Review we'll head to the Houston Summit for Royal Rumble 1989!

I agree with you this was a great rumble match, one of my favorites along with 91 & 92. The matches on the undercard were kind of weak but with the main talent being in the rumble match itself that is understandable. Best undercard match of the night was definitely Garvin vs Hammer, a lot of good chops here. Ted DiBiase did great, the pop that Warrior gets when he eliminated him was pretty loud. I also liked when Ted, Savage, Jake, and Piper where in the ring together, nice few minutes with the 4 superstars. You could definitely see WM setups all over the Rumble, Macho/Dusty, Jake/DiBiase, Piper/BadNews, Demolition/Colossal Connection, and of course Hogan/Warrior - still one of the best moments in Rumble history, the crowd goes nuts when it is just Hogan and Warrior in the rumble alone. I also liked the way Rick Rude was eliminated, very well done. Didn't really like the Hulk-up ending but that is to be expected with Hogan. I liked that it was Hogan and Perfect who were the last two in the Rumble to continue with there feud that started in late 89 when Perfect attacked Hogan, stole his WWF title then broke it to pieces (which should have told everyone right then and there that it wasn't real gold, I don't think gold breaks apart like that). Overall, great Rumble match and a good Garvin/Hammer match. The next two rumble would be just as good, I think what gives them the higher ratings would be the undercard matches were better in 1991 & 92.

I love Royal Rumble match also the bit when Mr Fuji and Bobby have little fight on the outside of the ring

Royal Rumble 1989 
Your Hosts- Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura
Dino Bravo/Fabulous Rougeau Brothers vs Jim Duggan/Hart Foundation in a 2/3 falls match- Very energetic opener here with a hot crowd.The big feud in this match is Duggan/Bravo as they've been feuding since the Fall of 88.1st fall goes to the heels as Bret takes Dino's signature suplex and Rougeaus top rope finisher.The babyfaces rally back in fall 2 as Raymond gets hit with an Anvil slingshot followed by a Duggan elbow drop.We are all tied up!The babyfaces get the 3rd and final fall after Duggan hits Bravo with his trust 2x4. USA USA USA!!!! Fun match here as you had classic tag wrestling mixed in with a hot crowd. Positive way to kick us off here for sure.
We get a video next of the wrestlers picking their numbers for the main event. Ted DiBiase in particular doesn't look happy. He then talks to Slick.What's he up to??!!
The Super Posedown is next between Rick Rude and Ultimate Warrior. This is a big waste of time as it's just 2 guys posing for the crowd for a good 15 minutes.This segment has Vince written all over it. Warrior wins in the end(big shock!) Bobby Heenan then sprays warrior in the eyes with something leading to Rude laying him out a steel workout bar. That's the only positive I can say about this whole thing. Rude would get the IC belt at WM V so points there in continuing to build the feud but man this was tough to sit through.
Rockin' Robin vs Judy Martin for the WWF Women's Title- Sensational Sherri is on commentary as right before the match she declared herself the next contender for the belt. Pretty bad match here as they were just going through the motions. Sherri was great as a manager but man was she annoying on commentary here. Robin gets the win after hitting a crossbody from the middle rope. The Women's belt would be retired by the Summer. Can't say I blame em as the division by this point was dead. Bad match.
Intermission time as we get promos from the managers proclaiming their specific talent will win the Rumble.
Haku vs Harley Race in the battle for the crown- Race got injured the previous Spring and had to relinquish the throne so that's when Haku took over. With Race being back he wants his thrown back to here we are. I liked this match as you had two legit tough guys being the crap outta each other for nearly 10 minutes. It was also a sight to see Race in the babyface role for this match. Haku wins after hitting em with his signature side kick which always looked awesome. After this match Race would leave the WWF where he would have short stints in Puerto Rico and Stampede wrestling before retiring in the early 90s.
Next up is promos from the big names in the Rumble. Always a highlight for me
Royal Rumble match-Another fun Rumble match here with some great moments like Ax/Smash drawing 1 and 2, Andre coming in at number 3 and getting beat down by the tag champs,Curt Hennig's 1st Rumble and having a good showing,Warlord having the shortest time elimination wise and the big tease between Hogan/Savage after Hogan ''accidently'' eliminates him and Bad News Brown. Also gotta give a nod to the timeless chemistry between Gorilla and Jesse on commentary as again they hit a home run here. Shame this was the only Rumble match they ever called together. The last two are Big John Studd and Ted Dibiase with Dibiase not lasting to long with the big man before getting eliminated. I was happy Studd got this last big moment of his career.The match at times does drag a little at times but it's still a fun Rumble I thought overall. We get a Savage interview post match and you could clearly see the big showdown at WM V between him and Hogan by this point. The announcer hype Mania and we fade to black.
Final Thoughts- Good show here with the only negatives being the posedown and Robin/Martin. Definitely check this out if you're a fan of the era. Verdict-Recommended

I'm kind of torn on this PPV, the Rumble match was good but I really like the last 4 guys to be top stars (no offense to Studd and DiBiase), but the ending was a let down - pretty much after the Mega Powers and Boss Man were eliminated the Rumble match dragged on. I didn't mind the posedown as it is a good way to get the guys on the card without giving them a match (since they were going to wrestle twice on PPV later), nice way to kick off the feud. Best match of the night was the opener, nice kickoff match. As for the other two match, very boring to me, I know that's a bad thing to say about Haku and Race but they just didn't seem to have good chemistry here. The women's match was bad too, as was the division at this time. For me, the next three rumbles were/are my favorites.
