Still really want Jerry Lynn. We got all those ECW guys fired off, Franchise, RVD, Francine, Sandman, etc. and then they just stopped. I'm hoping this recent Meanie means we're going to get a few more. I also wouldn't mind a black and red Rhino to swap out the blue and black. ECW is tough, because the roster was always a little top heavy. But I've been waiting on Storm and Credible, and Stevie Richards seems like a good fit with Meanie. Really hoping to see more WCW/ECW Brawlers. I just got in my RnR Express from ebay and they're instantly among my favorites. Really great release, so I'm hoping things get back on track with the Crates after the prior Crate Brawlers being very skippable. |

Demolition still available with masks which is surprising since usually the limited release drops sell out by now and aren’t still available a month and a half later. Still a bunch of others ones listed on their site too that were limited edition drops. Wonder what this could mean for the future of this line.
I think so many other 3rd party companies putting out figures in the last few years really put this lower and lower on priority lists. It’s not like you grew up with these and have an emotional attachment to them. They’re easy to pick and choose, if you miss out on one you don’t really feel upset about it.

I enjoy the line - especially my WWF/WCW/ECW guys and some of the more recent ones like Jordanyne Grace (Hard to Kill), Tyler Breeze and a Chase Shawn Spears have made their way to my collection. But I'm thinking about selling my collection of 43 AEW Brawlers as a lot. Chavo was the last pre-order I purchased.

I was looking thru the data base today and noticed this AEW Crate Ricky Starks that hasn't been released. Julia Hart was in this quarters crate.
Am I crazy or is there zero resemblance there? Pretty sure that is the regular Pro Wrestling Crate brawler for July though. |

No resemblance at all but the PWT Crate brawlers have different cards compared to the AEW ones.

They do but that brawler is pictured in an email I had about this upcoming PWT Crate. |

So, since the discussion of the Brawlers/Crates is basically dead I don't think anyone will care about week-old spoilers: I am so curious as to what the backstory for this month's combo of Crate Brawlers:  Mountie makes sense, the kind of character they've been doing in PW Crates almost exclusively since 2020, and then an AEW Strap Match Ricky Starks. I get that that not every Crate will have a matching set of Brawlers like the R&R Express in the May crate, but huh? We haven't seen an AEW-branded Brawler in a regular PWCrate ever IIRC. And why a Starks from such a specific match without the corresponding Bryan? Was this originally planned to have a corresponding Piunk and once that happened it fell into the either until being resurrected for the Crate? I'd love to know. |

Long story short: PWT never sent Steamboat any of his latest Micro Brawlers. He nor his wife had ever seen them as he said he wish he had a few to sell at conventions. Im looking to find some really cheap ones to give to him but looking through Ebay was there ever a chase version for him? I havent seen one on there. Id like to at least grab one of the chases for him.

Second time in three years I've gotten a Chase in my Crate, and this one was definitely welcome. A beaut of a Brawler, and I prefer the red to the white.  |

It's weird to have this line slow down so much. Aside from the recent Earthquake and Typhoon, I can't remember the last Brawler I picked up.

The micro brawlers group on fb said it best. “I’ve lost so much interest in the line when they announced they were done with preorders. This is a hobby for me, I’m not interested in chasing down the guys I want, I want who I want.” Couldn’t agree more, going back to the limited drops, I’m not interested in the line if I can’t just get who I want. |

There is probably still plenty of money left in it but man did it seem to fall off a cliff rather suddenly. I don't plan on parting with my collection, but it always felt like the bubble was bound to burst when these had such a hot streak around 2021. But PWT definitely seemed to accelerate the decline. I lost interest after the last Bucks/Kenny pre-orders. You have top tier talents who have a TON of colorful and fun looks and they go with...plain black figures? It just felt very uninspired and phoning it in. And here we are with a bunch of big name AEW debuts like Copeland, Okada, etc who they haven't even attempted to release. It just feels like such a weird approach. The price creep didn't help. These things are cheap as hell to produce. Once I was paying $25+ for a Brawler pre-order, it went from a fun novelty collectible to "why am I spending this much money on a hunk of rubber." My opinion has always been that Ryan was a terrible businessman who happened to be in the right place at the right time, and nothing about this line's rise and fall has shown me otherwise. |
