I think Boogeyman will be the Micro Brawler.

Micro brawlers died today Context big dog I think that’s a little overboard. They definitely won’t be $13 anymore so the low price point for sure died. I’m curious if the crate price will go up because if they’re paying more we’re paying more.

I think that’s a little overboard. They definitely won’t be $13 anymore so the low price point for sure died. I’m curious if the crate price will go up because if they’re paying more we’re paying more. They're slightly paying more because the print run went down and they're hand numbering them and including a protector case to appeal to the "collector" market. The print runs on the crate Brawlers won't change, and these things are still so cheap to produce that I don't see the Crate price changing. I'm not thrilled about the price increase, but it'll probably work. Print runs are only changing from 200 to 150, and most of the Brawlers (Dustin, Arn, Funk, Steiner) were between 100-150 copies left when their blowout sale happened a few months back. So that meant over the course of months they only sold 50-100 Brawlers of some pretty popular names. I'd bet that now that they start hyping the "limited edition" figures, they'll sell out within hours. So PWT will be riding this one all the way to the bank.

It seems Cardona's influence has caused them to change their entire business plan when it comes to Micro Brawlers...Whether that's a good thing or not is yet to be determined. I know I'm not thrilled at the idea of having to pay more for something that comes in a case I'll just be tossing away anyway, but perhaps the line will last longer if it can be more successful with this model.

It’s this whole creating artificial demand thing that all these toys companies are doing now that it’s becoming a more adult market. They continue to do this and I gurantee the bubble will eventually burst. I mean I got a family, a house, I can’t be chasing these things all over the Earth and paying an arm and a leg. I know me personally I eventually will have a ceiling. I just don’t know what it is yet.

Just cancelled my crate anyway. Only thing Ive wanted was the Brawlers but all I wanted was Legends. The last few crates have been crap honestly. Most of the stuff in there is junk like pins & cheap comics.

There has Def been a change, the shirts they used to put in there were always great designs and at some point possibly because of AEW the shirts now are always weak designs. Like that Orange shirt was awful, the Darby shirt was fine but plain, and I’m sure the Jericho shirt next month won’t be anything to write about. I still get it cause most months I keep what I want and make my money back selling the rest. But the last few months the items haven’t been selling.

I know me personally I eventually will have a ceiling. I just don’t know what it is yet. The hype/artificial scarcity to drive prices isn't new, but it's exhausting. And I think COVID boredom is driving a lot of people to start collecting. Heck, there's a Brawler group on Facebook that had like 100 members when I joined not that long ago, and now there are 400 people in there. These kinds of prices aren't sustainable, and it's made worse by people buying with the sole intention of flipping. And at the risk of sounding like a jerk, I don't get the impression that a lot of people who are dropping crazy money on Brawlers are really in a financial situation to do so.

No one seems bothered now but fast forward to when Kurt angle comes out, sells out in seconds thanks to bots and are going for $100+ on eBay. I see this as a glass half full situation though and I’ll make a ton of money off selling my whole collection. Thanks Ryan.

But my thought process is that I have plenty of other hobbies - I'll see how it goes. If it ends up being a s-show like you're describing (and I think it will), then probably I'll cancel my crate sub, decide if I want to keep or sell the Brawlers I have, and put my money toward other hobbies moving forward. Will PWT miss my $? Probably not. But I won't miss their little hunks of rubber too much either. I'm just exhausted with the state of figure collecting right now, be it PWT, Mattel, or Jazwares. It doesn't even feel worth the energy of being upset about.

I usually show her pictures and bring up what’s coming out and she brought up that I don’t bring up figures as much anymore, and honestly because it’s been so awful this year finding figures in stores that I have lost a bit of my excitement in it.

Between the difficulty finding figures and the fact that it's starting to feel like a blatant cash grab, I'm really losing interest. I'm really like my collection as is. It just doesn't seem worth the frustration and cost when I'm not really buying anything that I'm genuinely excited about anyway.

Does anyone know how well these WWE Shop rip-off ones fit in with the regular Micro Brawlers? Are they the exact same scale? Here's the new Macho Man one:

Honestly, the shirts have been the only things keeping me subscribed to the crates the last few months (I actually loved the OC shirt). The comics/pins/stickers are hit or miss for me, and even the good ones aren't worth staying subscribed for. The Brawlers are still generally pretty good, but it's hit or miss for me sometimes if they're people I would actually want in my collection.
