Finally picked up Vader for $30. I had been holding out to get him cheaper, but prices seem to keep going up, so finally just pulled the trigger. My realistic want list is down to Animal, Taz, and still need to get Honky Tonk and Dreamer.

Finally picked up Vader for $30. I had been holding out to get him cheaper, but prices seem to keep going up, so finally just pulled the trigger. My realistic want list is down to Animal, Taz, and still need to get Honky Tonk and Dreamer. Luckily I got Vader in a Mystery Micro Brawler Grab Bag (5 figs for $25.99)  Then again, I don't actively collect them. |

A new Vader Brawler is going up for pre-order this week. $19.99, and they're doing a print to order system. Seems like a win-win - collectors that want them can easily get the figure, and PWT can maximize profits without having to deal with having backstock sitting around. PWT said they may continue this going forward depending on how sales are.

Hopefully this is the new format for non crate Brawlers. Reduces the risk for Ryan and gives everyone a fair shot to order however many they want. hopefully this clears 200-300 units to prove the collector community right on the limited numbers. I have to think it will. This won't have the immediate of Owen or Angle, specifically because those were first releases of more popular characters, but resellers should still want to get in on these because the order window is only 24 hours. That's the happy medium I'll take between scalpers and collectors.
Vader is cool, one of the aesthetically coolest Brawlers they've ever done, but I only collect 97-01 ECW guys and my very favorites. If I get Vader, I have to get LOD, Koko, Honky, and then I'll be down the rabbit hole of needing stuff like Piper and Steamboat. I can't do it at $20-30 a Brawler.

Congrats on having way better restraint than me. I started with "well, I'll just get Tessa and Bret" and now I have probably 90% of the Brawlers released... I'm really curious to see how these do. I think 200-300 pieces is a given - I'm really curious to see if people buy multiples to flip, and how secondary market prices are. Even with the original PWT Brawlers, figures would be available on the site for months, and once sold out secondary market prices doubled. |

I only collect 97-01 ECW guys and my very favorites. I love hearing other people's collecting guidelines. For me, I get Micro Brawlers of anyone who was part of All In (or Being The Elite during that era) or has been in AEW (even if just once)... plus of course a few "favorites" beyond that. With PWTees not being able to make Micro Brawlers of AEW talent, there are fewer new ones coming up that I need, but still an occasional one or two. I’m very happy with the Brawler from this month’s Crate. There seems to have been some general disappointment, but honestly he was my main choice for a Brawler out of the box’s whole lineup as the subject my was one of my favorites as a kid.
Also, looking at next month’s crate lineup, and the fact that there’s going to be a chase colorway available, it seems likely that RVD or Jake the Snake will be next month’s Brawler no?

I’m thinking Thunder Rosa is a shirt TBH. I was thinking Jake for the Brawler as he fits in with the era of legends they like to make, and a chase is pretty easy to do with him in just swapping out base tights color. |

Grabbed the Tatanka off ebay just now...Gotta say, its a lot nicer to pay $18 for the Brawler and not 50 and get a bunch of crap you dont want/need It’s $30. So for $12 more than you just dropped you get the microbrawler, 2 Tshirts, a pin, an Autograph and something else. You could flip all that on the bay and get a free brawler easily. |
