At $35 a pop -- people most mostly be buying these because they have too much money to waste -- or think they'll be good investments to sell. But it's not a major figure line -- so they'll just be trying to sell to people like them.
I think they're gonna get screwed in the end -- while PWT cleans up financially...
I agree. If you’re collecting these as an investment it is more of a Ponzi scheme. Only investors are paying other investors as an investment and eventually it’ll be passed around so much that no one will want it anymore and it’ll revert back to $12. The investor needs to find a brawler or Sheik completist. The Sheik looks just like the Funko mystery mini one.
@kmangio -- you said it better than I ever could. It really is a Ponzi scheme. And good points stc13
That's the thing that gets me about Ryder and Hawkins. I really enjoy their podcast -- but they are promoting a lot of Ponzi schemes like this. I wouldn't be bothered if people knew that -- but I feel like there are some who just join in to be part of the Major Figure 'club' and really don't understand what's going to happen long-term.

Impact Brawlers came and went. They were listed at $22 unsigned, or $40 for signed versions. At this point I think it might be time for me to stop collecting. I just can't justify paying more for 3 inch hunk of rubber as I do for Mattel or Jazwares figures.

They literally placed a ticking time bomb on the interest of these. I don’t get it.

But that price tag really killed me. I could not do it. Its a shame...

I got gallows and abyss. I’m not sure if I’m going to continue to collect because of the price point but I knew if i do I’d want them. If I do decide to stop I can always flip them.

I grabbed Grace and Edwards. Had to get the signed versions. Only grabbed Edwards for a personal memory from a show prior and I think Grace is due for better once she leaves Impact. Too talented. The others were no interest. Only Abyss and Gallows are sold out.
I'm definitely not collecting these anymore just grab select ones here and there if reasonable especially if people have really no other figures.

In some sort of fairness all the prior brawlers were limited to 200 pieces each as well. They didn't really get the cult following till the majors started pushing them. The new packages definitely cost more than the old ones so the price jump is a little justified.
I agree they are ruining the line but at the same time are they just making improvements which increase cost while making them in the same quantity they always did? Making the old legends as limited releases is mind blowing though as those are the ones that would sell best. Make boogeyman or El generico a limited batch. Only the hard core completist wants those anyway.

It's a straight up money grab, but it's obviously working. Yea but as history has taught us anything it’s that creating a craze or a demand like this only lasts so long. You will get people to start jumping off the ship while making product so hard to get or expensive that new people won’t join it thus killing it on severely waning interest. It’s a momentum killer.

I think Pro Wrestling Tees didn't want to be upstaged by Pro Wrestling Loot and their Pint Size All Stars so now we get more expensive Brawlers to make the All Stars look inferior. Barkan tweeted his displeasure when the All Stars got released. The figs come from the same factory in China.

Totally agreed. But it certainly wouldn't be the first time that someone made a business decision to take short term profits at the risk of longterm sustainability. In all fairness, the strategy is clearly working. These drops are selling out within minutes.

Thanks for using the spoiler tag. Right now my crate isn't supposed to arrive until the 25th according to the tracking. Usually I have it 2-3 days after it ships, so no idea what the heck is going on.
