I guess shirt hair with Slammys or caution tape could happen too. I think any look is probably on the table except for the Blue Blazer for obvious reasons. |

My Impact Brawlers came in today, and it's a nice looking set. Abyss is the star for me. But it looks like the shipping has been a mess and a lot of the autographed ones are showing up badly damaged.

SHEIK is the only short print one I'm really debating on getting $148 taxed & shipped Normally I wouldnt spend that kinda money on something that small but I have $60 refund from RSC, $33 refund from Ebay and a $25 refund from Walmart so the money was essentially already out there, I just floated it to something else. |

I mean this with total respect -- but I'd love to hear how you come to a decision to spend that much on a tiny little thing -- and then you're open to doing it again in the future. How are you able to afford it? Do you have a great job? Are you hoping to sell them at the end so you see it as an investment?
Its all about managing money & living within your means. Im not by any means rich. I make decent money but I prioritize my financials. Too many times I see people that make say $50k a year and their bills & spending is $60k...well something is wrong there, you're spending more than you make. I dont do credit cards. I dont borrow money or take out loans (except the mortgage on my house)..I drive a 15yo car thats in great shape because I take care of it so I can avoid a car payment. There's some sacrifice involved too. I dont live on prime rib & dom perignon...I tend to buy food in "bulk" where I get more than one meal out of stuff. I usually have 2-3 jars of peanut butter in the cabinet at a time...I eat a crap ton of PB & J sandwiches lol....but eating something like that every day for lunch or dinner saves you quite a bit of money. I dont personally see that as sacrifice cause I ing love peanut butter haha anyway off the soap box and back to the figure...with those returns its essentially money Ive already spent anyway so Im only "out" like $50. I never really look at my figures as investments. If something were to happen one day, they are there to sell...Its happened before years ago and I sold off an entire JAKKS classic superstars collection. But I personally never have any intent to resell. The part that will drive most people crazy is when I get the Sheik brawler, Im gonna tear that package right open and display him loose!!! |
