According to WWE's latest financial report: "Demonstrated strength in consumer products with the #1 selling action figure property in the U.S. ahead of Star Wars and Marvel Avengers" and "WWE action figures continued to rank among the top three action figure properties in the U.S." Yet their quality is declining... A case of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poor face printing tech, painted skin torsos, less articulation and other things we didn't get at the beginning when they were not on that place. Take a bow collectors! Source 1 Source 2

That's great, congrats to them.
They could have sold a heck of a lot more if they actually had some product on the shelf during the Christmas shopping season.

This is amazing with all the distribution issues and how retail has been the last couple of years as far as WWE figures
Good to hear though

Thats pretty cool. It is one of the few continuing lines and the biggest in stores so it doesn’t really surprise me

This really doesn’t mean much. As far as Hasbro and Star wars go, they flooded the narket with The Last Jedi merch on Force Friday in august, from jan.1st 2017-August 20th 2017 was all left over pickings from Rogue One and The Force Awakins. Every “collector” had already got their fill of that merch in one month. WWE is in constant swing with monthly releases across the board from elites, Exclusives, DM’s, Talkers, Rings, Basics, girl brand, etc. star wars is Basics, 6 inch, Jakks deluxe scale, scalers, plush, and role play released quarterly.
Essentially, Mattel owns the sales bcause they release much more products across a multitude of lines. The bigger question is, are these nunbers for brick and mortar stores, online retail, or both?

Yet we're getting budget cuts galore.
Mattel is really stickig it to us with the painted torso, crappy spreadsheet decisions, and bs decisions like not making WM3 Macho Man pink, over a color they already had.
I can't say I'm rooting for them at this point. I like the sculpting and designers for the most part, but I wouldn't cry myself to sleep if another company got the license and pumped more money in their line.
Hasbro, Neca, whatever.

Agreed. New products flowing out all the time helps obviously like I mentioned above. I would think it’s all across the board for sales

Believe what? That Mattel won't mix and match parts to better suit the figures? Yep. They prefer premade spreadsheets, much to the detriment of the line.

You do understand that a tool/mold loses shape after so many uses and must either be retooled or, for faster and cheaper results, a tool that isn’t warn will be used?

It amazes me after the DM Kurt Angle that people are so willing to stand up for Mattel. Things like Surfer Sting figures , painted flesh torsos, and the other lazy cash grabs have left me in a much more critical place.
No toy company is perfect, but the cost cutting Mattel has done is just too much. Hasbro does better work for the same price point, and I don't even collect their lines.
