How the hell do you look at the horror of the past 9 years and say "yeah, let's turn this up to 11" and vote for Trump's lapdog?

Goodbye NHS, we had a good run... It's just bizarre. I watched a guy from Leigh being interviewed on the news and he was saying that he hated that Wigan was getting all of the new developments and Leigh was being ignored. So in his words he chose to vote Tories to "get Brexit done." That's exactly why they won. Too many people too focused on Brexit to see the real issues. |

That was a nice NHS we had once. The geniuses can never explain how or why they think their lives will be better outside the EU. The EU isn't perfect of course and there are things I don't agree with but this attitude of "They're controlling us!" "really, how so?" "...they just are". "They tell us we have to have straight bananas!" "no, that was made up by Boris Johnson in a newspaper column" "...well... there's lots of things like that" "can you name another?" "... we should just be in control of our own country". Or it's always blaming migrants for everything else. Government underfunds the NHS as part of the plan to run it into the ground and make the case for privatisation more convincing then points the finger "it's all these migrants coming over here and using the NHS" (which they also pay for). Or you get "it's these health tourists!" "Actually health tourism costs the NHS less than 1% of its spending, the real problem is private companies being paid more money to offer services that the NHS could have done inhouse for far cheaper and better" "... no... foreign people need to pay". My prediction is that the Tories will offer a few (below the rate of inflation - importantly) funding increases here and there which sound good on a far right newspaper but in reality goes no way near what our NHS or schools or infrastructure need but the headline being pushed by the media will put their new voters at ease "see, they're putting more money in to help us", meanwhile they will continue their trade talks with Trump. Medicine prices will slowly start to rise but the patriots will say that's a small price to pay for our 'independence' (when in reality we become America's 51st state), food and other standards will be lowered or exemptions made for the US to provide us their substandard food. Bernie Sanders is our only hope now. I can't imagine him taking our health care away from us while advocating health care for US citizens. |

NHS , those American pharmacetical companys can't wait to get there fingers in the pie . I have nothing against companys making money, But not were peoples health is concerned, same with the school dinners when that went privatized. asked conner what have you had. sandwich why that's all they had left. that's not a dinner . and the sad thing is some kids that's the only hot meal they get. profit

US lobby groups for agriculture and pharmaceutical firms want UK standards changed to be closer to those of the US in a post-Brexit trade deal. The meat lobby wants the sale of growth hormone-fed beef, currently banned in the UK and EU, to be allowed in the UK. The drugs company lobby wants changes to the NHS drugs approval process to allow it to buy more of US drugs. tell you this lads if my cow hasn't eaten Soctish grass and my lamb Welsh grass no chance  |
