And Bill Irwin most likely has no affiliation with wwe anymore.o They may not sign their own contracts, but cards work nothing like figures or any normal merchandise No one here actually knows that for sure I've been heavily involved in the card industry for multiple decades. These contracts are structured pretty consistently across products and are pretty standard. People are welcome to think as they please and I'm not here to change anyone's mind. Of all the pointless things that people nitpick over on this forum, this may take the cake.

Of all the pointless things that people nitpick over on this forum, this may take the cake. Thanks for posting this. If I read between the lines of what you are saying, it appears my speculation is true in thinking that Topps (like Mattel) are only making trading cards of legends that wwe have under some sort of deal be it a legends deal, merch deal or whatever. This is the reason I started this whole Haku legends deal speculation to see if anyone knows how these merchandise contracts work. I don't buy what the other poster is saying that a trading card is different than a figure- they are both types of merchandise and I am sure for both WWE need permission from the wrestler to allow them to sell said merchandise. The only exception is the match footage, WWE own this and can do what they want with it as evidence by the Owen Hart DVD that came out a couple years back. As for the comment about The Goon, how do you know he is not under a legends deal?! From what I have read, WWE legends deals are open to any former alumni who wants to sign one.

Islanders and King Haku would be all for me. That's pretty much what I want too. Hope we get a Haku figure either way!

Jack SpecificDoesn’t this whole thread fall under the ‘fake news/speculation’ banner?
