AWESOME show, nearly sold out, CANT WAIT for judgement day!
Dark Match
Darin Waid vs. Jacob Duncan
WINNER: Jacob Duncan via Front Face Pancake (as seen in No Mercy)
* Darin Waid is from Harley Race's WLW promotion in Missouri, but was obviously billed from Omaha for the cheap pop. Jacob Duncan had a sort of redneck look to him but was wearing a leather mask similar to Mankind and Abyss...speaking of which, he even did a Shock Treatment. The major gripe about this one is the constant bearhugs from Duncan, constantly going back to that same move multiple times. Waid didnt get enough time to shine in this one, although i've heard good things about him. I'm not sure what Duncans gimmick is, but i guess that's the last thing they focus on in a dark match
WWE.com HEAT Tapings
Val Venis vs. Charlie Hass
WINNER: Val Venis via Reversal Roll Up
* Poor Val, stuck on Heat again. Hass sporting some nice "Christian-esque" gear. Basic back and forth action between these too, Val's really over. Big letdown for the crowd when he missed the Money Shot, but ending up reversing Hass's pin for the winn
- This is where things got wierd, Dereck Mcquinn (WLW also) came out shorty after Val won and Val had an argument with a few refs and left. I thought "Shouldnt he have waited or something?" then i saw who he was facing and thought "What a way to punish the kid"
Snitsky vs. Dereck Mcquinn
WINNER: Snitsky via Pump Handle Slam
* The "From Omaha" cheap pop was used here for this rather generic looking guy. TOTAL SQUASH IN I WOULD ASSUME UNDER 2 MINUTES, NOT ONE SMITTER OF OFFENSE. Maybe i misread everything, but they might have told Snitsky to kill him after missing his cue to go down to the ring, just a theroy
Heat Main Event
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan & Super Crazy vs. The Highlanders (Rory & Robbie Mcallister)
WINNERS: The Highlanders via Pinfall by Robbie on Duggan (?)
* Wish i wouldve seen Duggan in his prime, regardless he was over like rover. Nice exchange of "HO!" and "SI!" between the faces. I REALLY enjoy The Highlanders as heels, as they had the classic "International Heat", not to mention good in ring skill as a team. Duggan was the face of peril for a little too long until the hot tag to Crazy. Crazy went for his moonsault but was cut off Rory who isolated him from Duggan allowing Robbie to hit something and get the pin
Some of the security guards during the Umaga/Trips brawl were local NE/IA indy workers
Hype Gotti (Former PWP Champion, trainee of Sonjay Dutt)
Current PWP Heavyweight Champion "Babyface" Tony Cortez
Current NWA Central States Heavyweight Champion Micheal Strider (PWP & Others)
Tyler Pride (CSW & PWP)
"Krow" Kraig Keesman (CSW & Others)
NOAH tourer "Superstar" Steve Fender
Sorry for plugging the crap out of those guys, but the sooner big promotions realize how strong the scene around here is, the better
