Does think he should have stayed face? I think the heel turn was too soon during 1993 he should won the Intercontinental champion at least during that time

Crush was pretty over despite not being too charismatic. The fans liked him and he had the "big man" look that Vince always liked. His Cranium Crunch finisher was really over as well.
I'll admit that the downfall of Crush was the Doink feud. Not that it wasn't entertaining, but because it was so lopsided. Doink attacks Crush and costs him a shot at the 1993 Royal Rumble. Doink defeats Crush at Wrestlemania IX. Doink costs Crush the Intercontinenal title at King of the Ring. See the trend?
Crush got buried in that feud. Here was this really intimidating and powerful guy getting embarrassed by a wrestling clown every time they crossed paths. He never got the big win against Doink and his credibility sank. That Kona character got written off shortly thereafter.

A back injury was the reason he was written off television. I guess the way they did it they figured he would turn heel to get revenge on Savage not helping him. I don't think they ever saw him as a main eventer despite his size and fan reaction. When he returned the only other think was to come back for Yokozuna, but they would have had the feud happen either at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble. One problem, that's when Lex Luger/The Undertaker was feuding with Yokozuna. I think most people who watched the product or knew who would draw Crush and Yokozuna would have never drew big money. The Undertaker was a better fit while Crush was good enough and gave Savage something to do since he always wanted to wrestle. If he wasn't injured I could have seen them with a side feud as Yokozuna got ready to face Lex Luger, but that match would have never made a PPV.

Always liked crush even though he wasn't the best in the ring. I actually thought he was going to slam yoko on the intrepid when he got him off his feet. Then Luger turned up and he seemed to disappear until the heel turn which I also enjoyed watching unfold - mostly due to savage. The thing with crush is was very good at reinventing himself. Demolition crush Kona crush Japanese crush Jailbird/nation crush DOA crush NWO Bryan Adams Kronic - I know they were a bit if an APA knock off but I liked the big guy team.

Outside of Evil Crush & Kronik(which had huge potential) I never really found the guy entertaining. He was green as hell while in Demolition..I do always forget he was replacing Hawk in LOD too.

I almost feel like Vince was set to have Crush be the guy to slam Yokozuna on July 4th but opted to go with Luger instead.
Vince kept talking about how strong Crush was leading up to that, and if I remember correctly, Crush lifted Yoko up that day but his back 'gave out' so he let him down.

I think he had one of the most powerful mullets in wrestling.
Was never a fan of his, especially when he suddenly started saying "brah" when he became Kona Crush.

If you want to play a fun drinking game, watch the interview he gave when he returned on Raw and attacked Savage. Take a drink every time he says "brah" or "braddah."

I super enjoyed Crush, good and evil growing up. Then Jail Bird happened and I hated that and his look. He was great as Bryan Adams in Kronik. 2 tall guys being people up... awesome.

I think they botched the heel turn with him joining with Mr. Fuji. They should've had him come back from that "injury" by Yokozuna and right away blame Randy Savage (his "mentor") for not helping him when Randy was sitting at commentary.
This way he turns heel or at least a tweener and hates on the "old generation". He would feud with Randy, Backlund, Valentine, Martel, Duggan, Piper, Snuka, basically "old" guys who were around or came back shortly throughout 1993-1994.
