About 11 minutes into the Star Trek episode, watch the bald guy playing with the hovering Enterprise that flies in a circle. I wish I could meet someone who looks at me the way he looks at that Enterprise.

Haha I did the exact same thing a few years ago. I got a my favourite Transformers, GhostBusters, MMPR and Thunderbirds toys from eBay. On a side note, I just booked train tickets today to visit Glasgow at the end of July. Can't wait to visit Celtic's stadium for the first time. Ahhh a trip to Paradise eh? Ive lost count of the amount of times I've been there & I still get goosebumps walking in. Was over twice n May for Trophy day then the Cup Final weekend. Madness!!!! loved every minute. Getting back OT? I think getting the stuff I never had as a kid was the most rewarding....in particular the Kenner Well Of Souls Playset & Indiana Jones stuff from 1981. When Hasbro redone the Indy stuff in 2008? I went to the f*ckin ears in it man.....troop built German soldiers to beat the band!!!

Without a doubt man.....hands down indeed. During the 00s I went back and collected the hell outta all the stuff I wanted in the 80s. TMNT, Ghostbusters, Defenders Of The Earth, MOTU, Super Powers, Secret Wars, Centurions, Visionaries, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Thundercats, Robocop & The Ultra Police, C.O.P.S. and many more. It was one hell of a fun time!!! I jut watched the episode on Transformers and it was great. Watching the Star Trek one as we speak....man what a mis-managed property.....good grief. I LOVE the Playmates ST stuff and have all I need from it but the points they made about the Playmates line were great. Especially about the light & Sound stuff from DS9 onwards......IMPOSSIBLE to get is right. Man,I wish I still had my TMNT and Robocop figs. Especially the Robo Helmet. Got it for Xmas and refused to take it off. I loved the Robocop & The Ultra Police stuff when I was a kid and still do. Unfortunately? The white on the vehicles yellows really easily......and the vac metal on the figures goes too. Wheels Wilson. Torpedo Thompson & Ace Jackson were my fave cops besides Robocop. They never got killed by the Vandals!!!

I have watched the Transformers and Star Trek episodes so far and enjoyed them both.
Just a heads up that if you like The Toys That Made Us there is a documentary about the company Funko. I forget what it is called off the top of my head, just type in Funko to Netflix and you will find it.
I would love to see a Ninja Turtles episode, Dino Riders and M.A.S.K would be my top pics for the next season.

Loved it. hoping for more episodes about the other giants of the 80s TMNT, Transformers & Ghostbusters!!! We had the best childhood toys, hands down. Oh yeah, the 80s were the golden age of toys and paved the way for the adult collector market 20-30 years later and companies like SH Figuarts, Storm Collectibles, MAFEX, etc. With the toy store dead now and kids wanting iPhones and iPads, we may be heading into the dark ages soon.

It's on the back of some later stuff and those little Kenner catalogues....but it was cancelled only to be released in the T2 line with a new paint job and seemingly zero retooling. I picked it up because it's a perfect fit for Dr McNamara!!! Also? WAY too small for the T2 figs.....

I watched the Star Trek episode yesterday. Personally I loved the walkie talkie communicators. My childhood best friend had them. And I remember that Enterprise that flew in a circle on the wire arm. I played with it for hours. But the Megos (all franchises) were by far my favorite childhood toy. I mean I had DC, Marvel, PotA, Star Trek, Action Jackson, Heroes of the West, Robin Hood, Starsky and Hutch along with LJN SWAT, Rookies, Emergency all in one universe. You couldn’t beat that.

This batch of episodes was pretty decent. I’ve never been a huge Star Trek fan and was surprised Star Trek had enough of an impact to get an episode. I barely even remember Star Trek Toys when I was a kid. I think I vaguely remember the G.I. Joe type figures and some like die cast ships but that’s it. That was a cool episode to learn about.
Transformers and LEGO were a pretty obvious place to go and brought back some memories.
The Hello Kitty episode was... interesting. Going in I knew there would be some strange stuff and I was not wrong. The impact is undeniable but I was a little freaked out at points. Especially the lead designer lady that was probably in her 60s but dressed like she was about 5.

What do we want in series 3?
TMNT & Ghostbusters are the last power houses left from the 80s I reckon.....
moving onto the 90s?
WWF by Hasbro would be good I think.

I would love TMNT and Ghostbusters they were my favorite toys as a kid and still are up there still to this day .I know its probably not big enough but I would like to see a episode of Starting Lineups I had piles of them as a kid and still enjoyed them when I got older.

I would like an episode dedicated to Megos. They were my all-time favorite toys growing up. All I needed were my Megos and a small little corner of my back year and you wouldn’t see or here from me for hours. It was the best setup for all my adventures whether it was Megos, GI Joes, Star Wars or little plastic Army Men.
Our driveway was elevated about 4’ about the back yard. And in the left corner was where everything happened. The wall was a mountain. Then there was a 4’ or 5’ patch of dirt below it that was a valley, desert, battlefield, etc. Then abour 4’ to the right and back was the grass and an in ground foundation so that was the jungle and river/ocean.That little patch of yard was strange new worlds on other planets. the west, battlefields , jungles, islands, deserts, mountains or anything else I needed it to be on whatever day I was playing.
And whether I was alone or with friends hours a day would be spent in that corner. It was a very sad day when my mother sold our childhood house as it was torn down to build a bunch of townhouses on our property. Now my “world” has been plowed under and is part of the road for the last 17 years. But in any case back to the original question before getting sidetracked on this memory I would love to see a show dedicated to Megos.

I hope they do more. The intro literally says it’s an 8 part series and we’ve now gotten 8 parts. But there’s so much more to cover. Ninja Turtles seems like a slam dunk considering they are still around today. Also on a side note, did anyone else notice the guy from Mego still has the same hair style he had back in the 70s? Once I noticed, it was all I could see every time he was on screen. Lol

Wrestling episode in season 3! Not brand specific so I’d imagine it will follow the history from LJN through Mattel.
Also TMNT, Power Rangers and My Little Pony

They've done a nice batch of iconic lines so far, but wrestling, Ninja Turtles, and Power Rangers basically covers all ground for me from the end of the 80s to today.
