I do both... I open the regular Elites and basics and have a display shelf for RAW, Smackdown and then break it down by ERA's. Then I have MOC where I have special series like HOF and Exclusives. I may duplicate some I keep MOC if I need them on a particular shelf.
I do consider opening them all tho to save room in my wrestling room, lol.
I have a major reorganization going on now... Pics to come!

I’m a loose collector. I have a few doubles that I kept MOC in case I ever want to get them signed. Those are both DM Sting figures and the RSE DX HBK. Then I have Elite 1 CM Punk, which was the first figure I bought from the line on 1/1/10, and Basic 4 Dolph Ziggler with the chase belt.
The only figure I really wish I would have kept MOC that I opened was RSE Macho King because of the card art. Spilt milk.
Other than ROTJ Kenner Star Wars figures, I don’t collect figures MOC with any consistency. Just a piece here and there that largely has sentimental value to me.

All MOC. But I decided to buy an extra elite 40 Cena (on sale) to open it and check it... just curiosity.

I'll only open if I can get a duplicate, if it's low value - like E39 Sid, a cheap basic, or if the packaging is too damaged to display. If I open any elites, I still keep the boxes though. I think it’s very strange that people buy figures and don’t open them. I don’t get it. I buy 2 of most and keep 1 loose and another MOC as a just in case figure. If I didnt play with them I wouldn’t buy them. I don't know how old you are, but generally grown men don't play with figures. Collecting toys into adult age, is one thing... but playing with them? That is a whole other level of weird, IYAM.

Adults buying toys is strange. I guess the word strange struck a cord with some of you here. Don’t be so sensitive. The majority of us on here buy children’s toys at an adult age. I’m not ashamed of my hobby and you shouldn’t be either. We all share a common love however we all enjoy it differently.

Im a MOC collector, the only loose figs I have are flashbacks that come in battlepacks or a multipack with newer wrestlers
For example - Shawn from the Shawn/Taker Battle Pack... Warrior from the warrior/cena battle pack etc

Loose collector, here.
I've always been trying to have girls come to my house, I can't have the entire domain of my house filled with wrestling figures, hanging on my walls or stacked up in closets. I don't want to be OCD with my wrestling figure collection. I don't want it to take over my life.

If/when Mattel does make an elite WMIII Ricky Steamboat, I’ll display him, along with George Steele and the IC championship, and just half of the ring. I’ll construct a ring cart from WMIII and place Savage and Elizabeth in that while The Animal awkwardly hugs The Dragon in the ring. I’ll get a crowd backdrop and glass enclosure to host said diorama. This is going to be one of my happiest memories as a kid captured in figure form and showcased for my own viewing pleasure. The rest of my 80’s figures (and Ken Shamrock figures) will remain MOC.

Loose but I have some exclusives moc just to sell them later. I always am switching up who I put on display due to my limited space. Right now I have All Hardyz, e56 AJ Tnf rollins, The club, Angle, and Bobby Roode. I usually display new figures then swap them for more new figures

I am a loose collector and would never keep a figure MOC unless it was signed.

I’m a loose collector and a grown man that likes to sneakily play with his figures creating interesting match ups and coming up with finishes. It’s a booking paradise! 😆 Plus, I plan to one day do a YouTube figure fed. I do have a small display of random figures and that’ll increase over time and I do have one MOC set, which is the Booty O’s.
But yes, I do feel like a dirty, pervy, weirdo freak afterwards 😂 😂 😂

Everything that I have is MOMC. I have plenty of room to display them and IF I ever had to make some quick money, they could be sold for around what I paid for them or more.
I also don’t collect for value or to hoard up and sale for a profit later ... I dont have intentions of playing with them, so they stay in the box.
I have around 400 MOC or more and I’m adding to that number all the time. When I do run out of room, I’ll cross that road whenever I get to it, but it’ll be a while 👍🏻

Damn, I wish I had that kind of space. I currently only display about half of mine, which is around 70.
