New to the boards. I'm kind of getting to the point in my life where I may need to start downsizing my collection, but like any addict doubt I truly ever will. I'm anticipating a move hopefully in the next few months and as result have started to consider selling off some of my collection. I'm just sending out some feelers on what people would think I would be able to fetch for some Brian Baity customs. For those who remember him I'm sure this should raise some eyebrows. I remember some of his customs going for a $1000 or more on Ebay. I would only be wanting to part with these if the price was right. I have from him an Ultimate Warrior WrestleMania 12 with a full head sculpt ( his duster does have a crack in it from previous moves) a Crow Sting, and a Bret Hart with full head sculpt. If I get enough feedback or any serious attention, I will surely post pics as I will have to dig them out of storage. Right now I'm just looking for some feedback on what would be reasonable expectations for them, especially if some of you other users have sold Baity customs before. It would be a once in a lifetime chance as he doe not take custom orders anymore and hasn't for years. I still keep in touch with him and if need be I'm sure he wouldn't have any problem verifying them. Thanks in advance for any feedback

Dude that is awesome that you have some of his stuff, I remember loving his work back when! To be honest, I think 1k would be hard to come by from any serious or otherwise average figure collectors out there, but I’d love to see any pics that you’ve got of the dudes work! Best of luck to you, my friend. If I could give a recommendation, I’d suggest branching out to try and sell through Facebook, Instagram or even Twitter.

Thanks for the suggestion, I thought this would be a good place to start. It's amazing now that I'm ready to sell some stuff prices are nowhere near what they were 7-10 years ago.

Definitely post pics. He’s on Instagram as CreationCrib. Good dude. It’s unfortunate you won’t be able to get what you paid for them.

Regarding prices for customs, over the years of making them, I can say no one ever wants to pay more than like $150ish. When you see people paying like $500+ for a custom it's because money is no object to them or they're megafans of the particular artist. They're outliers that shouldn't be taken into account when pricing stuff.
The flip side of course is that maybe you should advertise them as being made by that particular artist so it draws the attention of those megafans who would pay those high prices.
Edit: Looked up who the person was, they're a professional 3D sculptor working for major toy companies, so I'm not surprised if commissions from him are expensive.

Probably no more than 2-250 each at the high end. Sorry just no market for them like back in the day.

Yeah, it's crazy how the market has gone down, but its been 15 years or more since he has was selling them on ebay. I remember them going for insane prices with 100's of bids. Especially when he was making the cards exact right down to barcodes. If I remember right WWE actually sent him a notice to stop or they would take action and that's when he started packing them in his own cases. This is the first time I've ever really thought about selling anything and I'm finding out how much prices have gone down, hate to know just how much I could have made pre Mattel days.

Hi,
Sorry I know this is an old thread but I was a huge fan of Baity's Customs and all the old school customizers. I was curious if you ended up taking any photos or selling them? Please let me know! Thanks.
