In 1992 for whatever reason the same guy made the list as two different characters. Hercules came in on the list at #141, but that year he also wrestled as The Super Invader who was ranked #90.
How does the same guy get two different rankings? Was his identity so secret that not even the PWI could figure out it was the same person? Has this ever happened again?
I've been doing some research on the PWI as I made a mod for a wrestling game. Thought I would share this maybe one of you all know that it was somebody else under the mask or if they just really made that mistake. Thanks for any help.

Ha ha ha for real?? Wow! I know Hercules was with the WWE in early 1992 but I swear he had to be gone by Wrestlemania VIII and that was at the beginning of April.
I figured Hercules would get a "NC" to his name and they would just rank Super Invader.
But maybe that was PWI keeping kayfabe alive. To be honest I didn't know that Super Invader was Hercules until years later when I found that out.

Probably because they were different characters and back then something like that was more protected keeping with Kayfabe.

They were probably ranked on the different characters rather than it being the guy behind it.

If they did that I think Cactus Jack, Mankind, and Dude Love should have made it in 1997. They totally wasn't the same person they all three competed at the same Royal Rumble. Glad to know they have made the mistake once again, and I guess through more research the identity of The Super Invader was pretty under wraps as many didn't know it was Hercules for a few years. I figured the PWI guys and the insiders would have figured it out, but I guess not. |

Totally different scenario because they were known as the three faces of Foley which the WWE was acknowledging as a thing. And at times not knowing which would appear from behind the curtain. Where as guys like Hercules/Super Invader, Owen Hart/Blue Blazer, Masked Superstar/Ax or Smash/Repo Man were supposed to be different people. At the time we weren’t supposed to know they were the same guy.

I knew Ax was Masked Superstar, Repo was Smash & Crusher. But I didn’t know Hercules was Super Invader or Owen was the Blue Blazer right away.
