I do wonder why they decided to finally clear him now. He said he's been cleared by every doctor he's seen for the past year, so what changed all of a sudden? educated guess.... his WWE contract is up soon. he has gone on record saying he's absolutely going to wrestle again, he only wants to wrestle for the WWE but if it really came down to it he would go elsewhere. WWE wants to make money, DB will make them money, and if they didnt do this he was not going to re-sign a contract, and go somewhere else. That's my guess, too. If he went to go wrestle with another company, it would've made the reality show extremely difficult to film, too.

Great news for him. Of course WWE would report this online on not save the surprise and a great moment for TV. Just imagine how great it would have been if Bryan could have had the chance to make the announcement himself in front of a live crowd. Yeah I really don't see the need to just ruin it by announcing it to the world. Why not either have him be the surprise entrant in a match or interfere or as you say announce it himself. But they need ratings On the ratings point I feel like announcing it online gets them ratings today, but doing a surprise announcement on the show creates a moment and can boost ratings going forward. It would give the sense that you don't know what could happen if you're not watching. Plus, now I've had hours for the news to set in and when he talks about it on TV I'll be less interested.

I hope he takes it easy this time and doesn't do too much in his matches. Looking forward to Bryan vs Nakamura somewhere down the line. Heck maybe we'll get the dream match Angle vs Bryan!

I don't think he has to change a great deal about how he wrestles, but there are certainly things that need to be eliminated entirely. No more suicide dives or diving headbutts off the top rope, for instance. Plus, I'm sure they'll do everything they can to make sure he's not landing directly on his head/neck, similar to how Austin wrestled after his neck injury in 1997. Any move he took, like a Rock Bottom or Chokeslam, he would always land on his side and be protected throughout the move. Bryan will also be gradually eased back in, I'm sure, and will start off wrestling maybe once or twice a month.

Great news for his fans but I personally donโt care much. my god I thought I was the only one. I can clearly see that Bryan is technically gifted and absolutely loves wrestling so it's really great for him; but he has a boring gimmick and the "yes" chants are just as annoying as the "what" chants. It's laughable to think of 5-star dream matches against Kurt Angle who can't even stand up straight. Nakamura hasn't been motivated since his debut again Sami in NXT two years ago, how can we just assume he and Bryan will light it up? six pages of lovefest is one thing, but once everyone sees how WWE limits Bryan's move-set to a Randy Orton-thrill-level, WF will turn on him soon.

If doing those corner drop kicks where he basically lands on his neck and head are limited, were not getting Randy Orton thrill level.

Call me jaded, but I'm holding my excitement for now. Just because he was cleared doesn't mean Bryan will be automatically installed as the main star that most believed he deserved to be, or that he will be around for years to come. Management didn't keep him at arm's distance from the WWE Title in 2013 (despite being put over by Super Cena himself), overlook him for a top slot at WM at the height of his popularity until extenuating circumstances arose, keep fans in the dark about his injury status for the remainder of 2014, bring him back in early 2015 just to put over Dat Dude and win a midcard title, withhold him from competition while keeping his status secret from fans again, and force him into early retirement for nothing.
As stated, his clearance now seems like typical WWE strategy for re-signing talent that they fear will be huge draws for other promotions. It was highly speculated Daniel Bryan's contract was up this year, and he greatly desired to continue his in-ring career elsewhere. The WWE pretty much dangled the carrot to get him back, gave him a slice of what he desired, then he'll likely be back to being what the 'E wants him to be before you know it.

Great news for him personally. I'm 99% sure this has been set in stone for a long time now though, and they've just held off on pressing go on him being 'publicly cleared' until all Wrestlemania plans were set in stone. The last thing they'd have wanted was the fans pushing Daniel Bryan to hijack their plans for Roman again, although I think everyone would have accepted a shock Rumble win followed by AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan for the Title in New Orleans, but I understand that's too big of a risk on WWE again.
He'll most likely have a Shane type schedule now. They will still probably pigeon hole him and restrict him to special matches as opposed to being a regular competitor.
